First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Cross Keys, as their team is in the British and Irish Cup Final.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Richie McCaw, George Smith, Robert Nash,Billy Holland, John Muller, Greg Laidlaw, Aurelien Rougerie, Leo Cullen, Rhys Thomas and Iestyn Thomas.

Toulouse away was without doubt my best live experience (from a club/regional point of view). If the hot tub hotties were there too, it would've been even better. But I love the French supporters. They just don't shurrup.

Two days till my RAF Cup final. I think I'm on the bench at best, but I'm excited. We will probably lose too.

Probably more for Dreamer, as I know she's a fan but The Blims are playing at the Swalec Finals Day a week today. I'm going down with the Crosskeys guys.

Toulouse fans are excellent too Hound. But ASM fans are special. Ive been down there and partied with them in Dublin. They are an excellent ad for rugby union.

Jeeezuz, this last 4 mins is scaring me again. In French. Unreal defence under immense pressure.

We Won! Again. The French are devastated here. Cant blame em.

They just realised they are not the best team in Europe. Not yet anyway.

The passing in the match has been awful Ozzy. United midfield is getting killed and overan. I don't know what Fergie was thinking with the team he put out. If you sit back against City you will give up chances.

Gibbo,

I was really impressed with ASM fans too, but fair play the Leinster fans gave it a good go. I am not really a fan of flags and that, but fair play it works for Leinster and their sea of blue. Pity there probably won't be many at Dave Parade on Saturday.

United put out the wrong team and the wrong tactics. Newcastle are the only team who could stop City winning it. United are not that good a side, awful defence average midfield, people just don't attack them! They sit back in OT and hope for a point.

Agree with that T. I think this is probably the weakest United side in the last 20 years. They have some distinctly average players but beat a lot of teams due to their reputation.

United don't have may guys who take the bull by the horns in midfield. That's their man problem. A guy like Roy Keane or Gattuso would have done a lot for United tonight.

And Good luck for the RAF Cup Final OK

Pel = ball droed = foot (well it's troed really but there's a mutation)

Sgorio means to score.

Rev, fair play to the Dragons fans at Gomez Park last season in the snow affected game. I couldn't make it*, but you guys were right behind your team for the whole match. Fantastic effort to get there for starters.

* managed to watch it in the pub.

May Day innit Dreamer, but it's still a terrible day. I remember two years or so ago when Abercarn won the Bowl or Plate, they overnighted on the Saturday, had a Mikey Rayer back in Abercarn on the Sunday and then still had the Monday to recover. That's the way to do it.

Hound, that was some day. Pity you were laid up. The Dragons do okay as an away support vocally, but we'll only average about a coach full of supporters. I enjoyed Gomez Park though, but the weather was nowhere near South of France equivalent Wink

Rev, my mate and one of the barmen (Zac, a Dragons fan) from the Bootlegger in town had a hip flask done within the first 20 minutes of that game, it was so cold appararently. Zac had my ST - I knew I wasn't gonna make it so I gave it to Andy to make use of on the day.

On tv there was a great shot of a guy literally skiing down the hill next to the ground to get to the game.

The people who made it still talk about that game.

As a united fan I am completely distraught. Anyone but City. Praying for the toon. I literally cannot believe we chucked an 8 point lead. I avoided the game entirely cos I feared we would lose. Completely devastated I was right.

The avengers is a class film by the way. Mark Ruffalo/the hulk in general were class. I'd recommend watching both ironman films, captain America and Thor beforehand though.

blergh. Morning all, tis a horrid day outside.

Having a day off during the working week always throws me off, and a day of trains yesterday really made me steam

Ych.

Still, 4 day working week not so bad, and roll on the weekend. Tis going to be emotional.

Rev - I completely forgot it was May Day on Monday! Reckon I'll just stay at home after the Scarlets match on the Saturday now then, make a nice long weekend of it instead.

Think I cleared the place! Here's a question for you all: I go into a supermarket, pay by card enter my correct pin yet my card gets locked....i go to the cashpoint using same card afterwards and remove money!! How is this possible? Is it their card machine which has screwed me over?

Good aft all. Gibbo's is a House of Pain this morn. The 5 x 30 somethings got in at 4am. Went to Cocos and had a mate behind the bar feeding them free shots all night. They were bad enough when we left them. They are all just up now and we are feeding and soothing the poor chillders brows.

Nothing changes really.

Great news this morn. Leinster have tied down all their stars for a few more years. Even Dorce gets another 2 years. Feic off France! zen
