Wimbledon Day 10
First topic message reminder :
Now it's really business time.
The matches have been previewed a done the order of play is out. Federer will be relieved to be on Centre and hoping for rain and a covered court. Murray too, as both stand to benefit if they win and their opponents have to play Thursday. I have no idea what the forecast is though.

Except he didn't. Mayer threw 3 break points away (1 of which was a clear winner situation). Different situation and you know it.
Indeed I do.

Indeed, listen to the fanboy. He knows what he is talking about clearly.

That's why you don't win more Mayer.... had him by the throat and you fell apart. No good. Looking better for Federer fans today though, Djokovic is looking vulnerable...

Seifer, you wrote "Fanboys don't put other players as favourites for tournaments".
LK put another player (Djokovic) as the favourite.
Ergo, using your logic, LK cannot be a fanboy.

If his fave is already out(?), then that comparison does not count.

What's the deal with a mod and a poster ganging up on another poster?
I suppose Seifer has commited some terrible atrocity on these boards to deserve this?

He put Djokovic as the winner before the tournament started. It counts.
reckoner, I'm not ganging up on anyone. I'm free to point out errors in arguments/logic.

I disagree JHM, you clearly are ganging up on Seifer and what's more extending some idiotic argument that has nothing to do with tennis.
Shouldn't you be leading by example?

Yeah, I criticised a cheat and was right about Federer v Youz. I can't read the other dudes posts anyway and it is a breath of fresh air.

The Djokovic vs Mayer match is tremendous, and way closer than I thought it would be.... At the moment anyway.
Both players playing really well. Mayer missing his opportunities though, and Djokovic taking his.

reckoner, you're free to report any post of mine you think has broken the house rules. Perhaps I am committing a 'terriible atrocity', but haven't realised it.
I dislike the use of the term 'fanboy' - particularly when it's used as an insult towards another poster. (Even moreso when the person using it doesn't even follow his own rules for applying it.) Presumably, you think it's OK.

I have no problems with you personally or lkv2 for that matter.
However it is a little hypocritical to constantly clamour for better behaviour from if mods are then going to get involved in petty arguments and extend them. If "fanboy" is indeed such a big insult or against forum rules, warn the person and let them know it is unacceptable and suspend them if necessary.
Both Seifer and lkv2 were saying "fanboy" so why pick one over the other?
It's ridiculous really because fanboy is the lamest trash talk I've ever heard, you must be sooo sensitive to let it bother you.

From what I saw he was a very lucky boy not to be a set down. Mayer just couldn't put away a simple break... and he had 3 of them.

It must be the lack of decent competition in the QFs - hard to get involved in 2 such one-sided matches, easy to get side-tracked.
Don't know why 'fanboy' bothers me, since I've never been called one. It just does. I am sensitive...GSOH, professional male, WLTM...hang on, wrong forum.

Looks like Fed's ownership of Youzhny is set to continue. No surprises there. I'm hoping Mayer can still take a set off Djokovic but doesn't look likely!

Mr Brush,
Did you expect Fed to get through for the loss of just 5 games? I am sure that exceeded your expectations
