Wimbledon Day 10
First topic message reminder :
Now it's really business time.
The matches have been previewed a done the order of play is out. Federer will be relieved to be on Centre and hoping for rain and a covered court. Murray too, as both stand to benefit if they win and their opponents have to play Thursday. I have no idea what the forecast is though.

yes but isn't that one of the major issues with Murray? He does himself no favours with all the shouting and bitching. He just gives opponent more confidence and he has always had a severe lack of temperament. Hence why that slam is never coming.

But Murray has shots and movement to beat Ferrer. Sure Ferrer is a mega-runner and retriever, but Andy is just behind on every shot.

Murray serving to stay in the first set.
Court 1 we are still on serve. No BP's. TB all the way.

Hmmm... Murray must force him to serve it out.
Ferrer has been known to feel the nerves closing a set out. Ferrer well in charge at the moment.

I keep thinking some day he'll realise (or someone like Lendl will force him to realise) that it's all so stupidly self-defeating. I can't be that hard for him to grasp! (even though apparently it is)

Re: Wimbledon Day 10
That's a big hold from Ferrer. Murray had him in the ropes but then backed off.
Can't wait for errors off Ferrer. Gotta take it to him. He got to defensive at 0-30. Hoped Ferrer would lose it rather than him winning it.

Big tie break this.
If Murray wins it should settle him down. If Ferrer wins then he's in for a tough afternoon.
I think the winner of this tie break wins the match.

Yup schooled in the art of losing a set haha I mean seriously, all you get from Andy is defend defend defend. It is crap and it won't win you slams.

Murray turned round the set, but backed off. Then turned round the tie break and backed off!
Both players got tight, but Murray was tighter.
Tough task now. Come on Andy.

Without sounding too pessimistic for Murray I don't think theres anything he can improve on with his limitations...
its all whether Ferrer gets tight and gifts a few breaks.

Maybe - but Murray knows how to be more aggressive and can be more aggressive - but too often he doesn't do it. Does he choose not to, or is his brain just wired that way and he can't overcome it?

Considering he just served 51% on first serve in that set and normally achieves much higher that is one obvious way he can improve for you.

Murray looks a little less tense now. Which is very good news.
I feel a lot more confident with Murray when he starts to look relaxed.

Shame Murray dropped the first set, but looks like he's on a charge from 2-5 down in the first, I just hope they're still playing by the time I get home!

It is his own fault for the type of game play he has... and in the end it will come unstuck... esp now we are at the business end. I agree he looks knackered...
I will be surprised if Murray wins.
