The Zone Virtual Sports Bar, Hamilton.
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Zone Sports Bar, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
This week the pub has set up in Sky City Hamilton, where the Crusaders take on the Chiefs in the Super XV semi final.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Bradley Wiggins, Ernie Els, Irene van Dyk, Sonny Bill Williams and his newly capped All Black team mate Sam Cane.
Previous pub. https://www.606v2.com/t32740-the-dew-drop-inn-virtual-rugby-pub-bridgend

rodders, very much agree with you. It's weird, where I live in Devon, loads of the lads that many of you have met in the Culm Valley Inn have guns, mostly used for worrying (ie not hitting) pigeons and game birds, but all secured in locked cabinets in their homes and subject to an annual licence renewal check. But that seems a far cry to me from the fellas in the US who seem to view a weapon as some form of Winkle extension? Just don't get it, that is allrodders wrote:I would say that the fact that metal detectors are needed at all is a very big deal indeed. Especially in the land of the free and home of the brave.

However there is a new fashion with the teens these days, really short hot pants, bow when I was 16-17 the girls wore hot pants as well but not like these. I can only describe these as denim knickers, these girls are 16/17 I shouldnt want to look at them but then again.........
I tell ya if they were my kids I wouldn't let them out of the house dressed like that

Re: The Zone Virtual Sports Bar, Hamilton.
See the first major diplomatic incident of the Olympic Games has got in before the opening ceremony in the women's football. Some clampit at Hampden Park displayed South Koreas flag when the team competing was North Korea. The N. Koreans abandoned their warm-up in protest and had to be mollified. The game kicked off nearly an hour late.
The policy of outsourcing the football around the UK seems to be roundly failing as well. At one game in Glasgow there was an attendance of 15000... not bad until you consider they'd given away more than twice that amount of free tickets.
Hopefully the rest of the games will be memorable for different reasons, but not a good start for the football. At all.

Took the Aussie chick from a couple of weeks ago out on her final night on northern Ireland before she headed back to the sunshine coast. In a vein (? Correct spelling of vein?) attempt I tried to explain that what goes on your stays on tour but she was having none of it. Hopefully heading out east for the lions next summer so I have plenty of time to work on my routine etc

Zebre was an invitational side for clubs in Northern Italy in the amateur era. It's nice that they are referencing that historical link.

That's cool. I like the fact that the collective noun for them is a dazzle, and that when set upon by predators, they form two circles, an inner and an outer one, going in opposite directions - totally messes with any epileptic lions' headsNotch wrote:Mickado wrote:Notch wrote:You know Zebre, the new Italian team? Indeed. Dad has a licensed, securely locked-up single-shot .22 rifle. As kids we were taught gun safety, and allowed to shoot rabbits or possums (vermin!) on occasion. And if a sheep-dog's been run-over, and the vet is over 30 minutes drive away, a rifle is a much more humane solution than anything else. My school also taught clay-bird and small bore shooting - hunting wild pigs and deer is a fairly popular pastime. And my brother spends an hour or so of his working day in summer walking around the vineyard with a shotgun persuading the birds to get their breakfast/supper elsewhere.
