The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sea of Tranquility, Luna
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to the Moon, in honour of the late Neil Armstrong. One small step for man ...
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Lance Armstrong in yellow, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin moonwalking, or the shot of Joe Ansbro breaking the line.
Last pub: https://www.606v2.com/t33620p1000-the-dew-drop-inn-virtual-rugby-pub-mendoza#1499265

Evening all. Looks like I'm off back to the dr in he morning, I had a choking coughing fit earlier and nearly fainted, which sounds far too much like whooping cough for my liking

Hound_of_Harrow wrote:50k+ crowd at the MS for it I reckon Gibbo. It probably won't boost attendances at the Regional grounds in the long run; unless the Regions are allowed to have a presence (stands with merchandise and signing up new STHs etc.).
The layout of the MS could lend itself to that, from the north and south entrances.
Hound,
That an excellent idea man. Use it as a catalyst and a selling point. Get them in their 10's of 1000's and sell them regional pride and... stuff.
Its the 21st Century. Its all about morkeshing. And keeping up with the Dai Jones's.

Rav,
What a lad! I really admire kids that go the whole way for something they love. And to have dedicated parents who support them. Excellent. I'll spread the word bud.
Kiwi, mate, Im getting worried about you pal. This coughing has gone on far too long for a non-smoker. You need answers and a solution - fast. Must see a Specialist at this stage and not an MD.

Cheers mate. Up until today my workmates have been more worried than me, but the near fainting thing tonight threw me a bit.

Morning guys, forgot to tell you that our little two man band did a show for a 50th brithday party on Saturday (for free obviously) and it went rather well.
I got some good compliments for my solo performances and people reckon me voice ain't half bad.
Was a bit nerve racking though.
I opened the floor with this " People the more you applaud, the less we sing, if you throw tomato's and boo, we play all night"

I'm not so sure, Asbo. I doubt it'll bring in many new fans if the internationals aren't playing, which is likely given the timing of the thing; but my main gripe is that the Dragons will lose any genuine sense of home advantage for the game against the Scarlets (who tend to beat us even when we do have genuine home advantage).
I love that Schopenhauer quotation, though!

Dreamer - have you read a book called "The Book of Lost Things".
I think you would really like it.
Luckless I can't wait for new rugby season. We got our referees briefings from the IRFU yesterday about the new laws.
I have to say my gut feeling is that we will see a lot of box kicking from Munster early in the season.

Will that be in response to a law change then, Stag? The only one I've heard of is the tweaking of the engagement at the scrum.

There are a few new changes (about 6 in total) Luckless all designed to speed up the game. At the breakdown once ball is available you have to use it in 5 seconds. I think that unless our backline alignment seriously improves we are going to just see Conor Murray box kicking.
