First topic message reminder :

Of course there are shades of grey but ultimately nobody can be sent to jail for saying they would like to kiddy fiddle but won't as it's illegal and cannot include consent by definition.
They go to jail when they break the law by looking at images or worse acts. So what do you do, change the laws ? Having an open debate won't change the laws, it will still come down to the same thing.
So whether they are deemed evil by society or not is ultimately fairly irrelevant as far as I can see. The end game remains the same.

I could barely breath after watching it.

You just wasted 2 and a half minutes of my life. Thanks. And you haven't even got a million pounds to give me despite my having not even cracked a vague smile.

RBS branch sale (English branches) to Santander collapses...yippee!! I'm an RBS customer living in England and I never wanted my finances to be run by a Spanish bank... Who the hell do the European Commission think they are?? Glad it's all gone jubblies up...perhaps it's also time to bring their IT back from the sub continent too

JAS- I am pretty sure their IT is coming back by the size of the two monster buildings with huge basements going up at Santander HQ in Carlton park Narborough.Mate of mine has just retired from there and he was offered a post to their Spanish HQ which has its own course designed by Seve.
At the Narborough site they are rumoured to be taking back the health club lease for their own private staff use.

Really may be a genuine security /terrorism issue. My chum didnt take it as he had one eye on early retirement.I met a few of the guys he worked with and it all seems pretty easy going - compared to us folk in the private sector.
As an aside part of the deal for their new office park was to give over some land for the adjoining 9 hole municipal course.Sweetener for the council in effect. No problem with it though other than I will need to find a new gym.

Twas a scramble mind.. thought there'd be better out there especially as we got off to a slow start. 8 birdies on the inward half worked a treat though. Funny enough we were a little disappointed at the end of the round as we didn't hole anything longer than about 6 feet all day. Normally in scrambles you need to knock in a few longer ones to be in the mix.

Mysti I agree the site is poorer without the likes of LJ and even Maverick. i also agree that some of the reg posters can be off putting to any new posters.

however Mac did get the detail right here even if the outcome was a poorer forum.

How is it a poorer forum if the guy who dissapears is a complete fantasist ? Seriously, what part of he made everything up do people not get. I could sit here today and write about what a nice round I had at Wentworth yesterday but if its not true...which sadly it isnt....then its all a bit pointless really. Its not a creative writing forum.
Im positive that Mac has prompted far more people to read and post on here than he has ever driven away, in fact the only person I know for a fact he drove away was Mercurio and I concur with Navys feelings regarding him.

Mysti

Would you care to expand on what you meant by;

“We have lost many posters due to mac”

I would be interested to see if you can name one example of a poster leaving because of me. And mercurio does not count –as diggers also points out - as he acted in a pathetic manner after not getting his own way in general.

I have also said many times since his outing that Fader/mav should get his ass back on the site and take the ribbing he deserves. Nothing too cruel, just some gentle jibes. I don’t think anyone takes the forum so seriously that he couldn’t post here again?

I do however agree with diggers sentiments regarding making everything up, but if fader was closer to the truth then why not accept mav was a fantasy and just post as a more truthful version of fader. Certainly no need for him not to come back, just that trust issues will be faced.

FAVERICK – where are you*?

Ok mac thanks for posting..

I could refer you to a few months back when all you did was follow me about insulting me for no reason at all. Now we both now how little you know and understand about golf- and all you did was attack and derail every thread you follwed me to.

I also noticed you did the same to fader- But by everyones rationale on here because you were right- your behaviour was justified.

Do you think i am some lieing sock an all?

Look you wound me up. I have the odd comprehension issue- its the way my brain works!!. I dont want anyone to feel sorry for me and I have no reason to take such offence. But you wound me up as does a moderator on another part of this forum. After reading insult after insult it gets to me- Yes I can be sensitive, but you knew i took offense and yet you kept on digging and digging. Maybe I should just start using a spell checker or something...

What I hate is reading all this love for you - when I personally know what an ass you can be sometimes.. But in all fairness I gotta respect that- Even SR backed you up!

Anyway thats enough for now- Hopefully we can grow this forum and get loads of different types of posters back on here- TBF this is the worst part of the golf calender, it does get abit boring anyway!
