The Dew Drop Inn Virtual La Botticella Pub, Rome.
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to the historical city of Rome, the owner Giiovanni, is a Canadian-Italian, and welcomes all after a great day of rugby.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Tawera Kerr-Barlow, Dane Coles, Aaron Jarvis, Samson Lee and Schalk Brits up on the wall. Erm, actually there is a second rule. No elephants, unless they're Effervescing - we can't be barring a Chiefs fan

Evening all
Sale beat Irish 21-9. Great defence from Sale just snuffed us out and we had no attacking momentum. I'll leave this here for Swanny if she pops in by way of a well done.

In all Truth, its getting that way.
I wonder if Munster would mind moving over and let Ulster in for a 50,000 capacity PRO12 game in April. As our annual pre-HC sparring partners to get us warmed-up like?
At least then, ye lot would know ye hade truly arrived.
I think ye are starting to earn that right. It has to be said.
Have you seen that Munster pack? They roll over never mind move over. Sure according to Sin all of Munster would be too poor to go to affluent South Dublin for a spot of ruggers, tea and crumpets. Real butter from a golden cow for me, none of your fake spreads for m thanks. And I want my tea made from the tears of slave children, or failing that, Munster fans on learning Sexton might be captain against the Saffers. You see it's the economy stupid. Sure we're rolling in it up here. We'll come down no bother. Otherwise to make the match palatable for Munster fans you'd have to pick Munster players in your side too. Then they might be interested.

Right if we're seriously recommending drinks has anyone ever heard of red stag bourbon? Absolutely vile. Tried it last year when I saw it behind the bar. Ironically not the worst decision I made that night.

Ulster march on then Rava.
Unless Saints pull something out of the bag in the Dec back to back games, the HC semis may well be Ulster, Clermont, Quins and Toulon.
Sorry if that prediction offends anyone, but I'm looking at those 4 getting a home q/f.

The scary thing is we are still not the finished article and there are mistakes being made but 7/7 and a try count of 26 for and only 7 against makes for good reading.

Rava, I think Ulster do not have that aura of 'we can beat anyone, anywhere' confidence about them yet.
You may be about to go through a phase that that Munster knew only so well. Nearly men.
And then they cracked it.
Good luck bud.

We will only really see their mettle when they have taken a beating Hound. At the minute they have dealt fairly well with everything that has been placed in front of them. There are stiffer tests ahead I know, but until we get there its difficult to gauge just how good they can be.

That would be mega.
The Hound and I(we started this Gig in 2007 on old 606), celebrating both ERC Cup wins. In Dublin? On a Saturday night like? Be some partaay.

Unless Saints pull something out of the bag in the Dec back to back games, the HC semis may well be Ulster, Clermont, Quins and Toulon.
Sorry if that prediction offends anyone, but I'm looking at those 4 getting a home q/f.
Its logical Captain.

But. Can I say this? No mofo,jumped-up, team, is going to take our Cup off us. Not in our Town.
No phhokiin way.
Leinster, without BOD? Tragedy? Not at all. Opportunity. O' Malley is coming back. Darcy & McFadden are on fire.
This, is meant to be. O' Malley is Ireland's new 13. Macken will challenge him, but he will fail.
No BOD, down in Clermont, when our backs were against the wall last year. And O' Malley shone. He frightened the shoite out of them. Both in attack & defence. He became a special player that day.
ASM fans I met for pints loved im. He gave problems.Lots of problems
BOD was his water-boy that day. I know. Cos I was there.
If Leinster win this one, it will be our best one ever.
Believe.

Sorry rodders, in the first ten minutes he ensured he'll not play for Ireland this season. AWFUL start. If Reddan or Murray started a game like that they'd be crucified. Pulled it together then but I'm still far from convinced he'll ever be international class.
Also, think it would be so stupid to pick Ferris for Ireland now even if he recovers. He's had three games this whole season, and he's not had any real influence on any of them. Tonight he looked uncomfortable taking contact- this is Stephen Ferris we're talking about! He's not match fit. And- most likely- now injured. Tonight was a game he needed to play well in and come through 80 minutes to prove his fitness. Instead he was a shadow of himself at this best and limped off injured.
We're gonna have to do without him this autumn.
