The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jersey
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to the island of Jersey, where the newly promoted hme side is off the bottom of the Championship.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Glen Jackson, Dan Parks and Matt Banahan above the bar.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jersey
Guess what I've just driven 2 hours to help Rebecca (my little sister) move house. Torrential downpours of rain on the way like monsoon style rain with rivers flowing across the road. On the off chance anyone is planning a trip on the a75 today, DON'T. It's currently under about 3ft of water so I've no idea how I'll make the boat home. I negotiate Dumfries's obscure one way system to arrive at her house that I've only been to once before and........

Off down to london this evening (going to the harry potter thing tomorrow for mrsprop's b.day present....she doesn't know), anyone know of anywhere good in Hatfield?
Nope. The best thing to do with Hatfield is drive straight through the tunnel on the A1 and keep going.
The place is devoid of character (unless you're passionate about roundabouts). Far better to head over to St. Albans where there are good pubs aplenty.

Prop - the best I can do for you.
Hatfield pubs
I know some lads who worked for T-Mobile in Hatfield used to go to the Airfield, but I think that's out by the business park.
Pob luc.

Prop - Hatfield, Stevenage and Welwyn GC are similar. All Hertfordshire 'new towns' of a similar size developed after the war, and pubs are few and far between. Welwyn GC has just 13 pubs, whereas St Albans, also of a similar size, has over 60.

Really excited about Bath tomorrow. Can't wait to get amongst the cider.
Also going to do a Rememberance Parade on Sunday, though I'll be hungover. Was ashamed with myself that I didn't go two years ago (last year I went in Bastion).

Enjoy your evening bud.
As you might have guessed, I haven't made my way to the 'Diff for Bloos v Wasps in the LV tonight.

They did say it was clattering down before kick-off to be fair.
Morgan has Burns scurrying and wins some yardage and then a daft penalty brings it all the way back.
It's just like watching Bath.

Don't know about that Cari, but at 6-13 down to Glaws, it so like watching Bath I'm wondering where I'm going tomorrow.
Ah Morgan in for another DG.
C'mon the O's.

O's scrums are schitt, but Morgs is playing a stormer. Third drop goal attempt missed, but he's just kicked another penalty.

Evening Oz. Both sides have been pretty even to be honest, despite the Glaws try. O's managed to stay just one point down despite having King in the bin. Both flyhalves kicking very well. The O's scrum is in trouble, mind. The front three replacements are only 18!!! I hope they don't have to come on.

I'm nearly 10 years older than the pair of 'em put together, both having good games, but I'm liking the look of Morgan, he looks like he's had the extra 2 years experience to be honest.
King's back on and only a one point swing during the binning, come on Ospreylia
Evening Ozzy, surround this with yourself
C'mon Morgan, come to daddy.

Peej - he's doing really well. Morgs is a star of the future I reckon. According to the commentator he can sidestep anyone in a phonebox...that's a useful skill I suppose.

Cheers Cari and PJ
Youth teams playing tonight is it then? I know I am getting old when there are international players now and I am old enough to be the father.
Put my house up for sale yesterday. Got to touch up some paintwork tomorrow before they come and photograph it on Wednesday. Fortunately most of the work that needs doing is in the lounge so I won't miss the internationals on the box!

15 - 13 at the half.
Just switched over to watch bit of Murray v Tsonga. According to the person in Penfro Towers who has a degree, the early stages of the tennis are being played on a "red robin basis"

Oz - yeah, a lot of youngster on both teams. Burns the Glaws kicker is 18 (and kicking very well) and Morgs is only a bab. It's like watching college rugby...
Are you moving Oz? Hope you get a decent price for your gaff. I'm not sure how well the housing market is doing at the moment.

I gather this game isn't the best? At least it is tight unlike a Bath 0-50 Dragons game

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jersey
I'd say that would be considered an essential skill in a phone box, it's not as if you're going to get a pass away is it?
Considering Morgan is operating off the scraps from breakdowns and scrums that Glaws are getting the better of, he's doing an exceptional job.
