Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The pub has made its way to the island of Jersey, where the newly promoted hme side is off the bottom of the Championship.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Glen Jackson, Dan Parks and Matt Banahan above the bar.

Morning all!! Wonder if Glas managed to get up....

Well today I'm sacrificing the rugby to take the missus to Harry Potter Studios....could someone keep me posted of scores please?!

Hound: we decided to just stay in the hotel and brought booze with us, going to wannder round St Albans soon.

Have a lookaround the Abbey prop, or maybe the Roman Museum. If you're going for a glug there are some good pubs around Albert Street and Sopwell Lane.

BORE DA!!!

Well I for one am uber excited about the internationals. I was up with the sparrow's fart this morning, done all my chores. Got the munchies in ready, my pal's coming over later then I'm glued to the telly for the duration. I've had a great start to the rugby weekend so far, so hopefully Wales will get a win, as will Ireland and Tommy will get a try or two for his 50th cap

Amazing game really, you know Wales are going to have a big last fifteen minutes even though they blew that chance at the lineout.

Should be a white knuckle finish!

The Pumas are not to bad at seeing out games, could be very close.

I wonder is there some sort of hangover from some of the regions poor performances as the 'big name' Welsh players have been really disappointing. I didn't even know Warburton was on the pitch. Falateau has been poor, North anonymous. Has Cuthbert even touched the ball?

Scott Williams looked quite good, and Knoyle's distribution is quicker and better than Phillips', though some of his decision making highlighted his lack of experience.

They lost a few from good positions in the Rugby Championship though.

I don't even have the heart to mock the Welsh fans and do some good old fashioned WUMing. As bad a Welsh performance as there has been in about two seasons, utterly out thought, out muscled and old played. Not many Lions on display today. I'm not gloating though, we are going to get tanked come half five as well

As Pete can't post a link to The Times article, just thought i would fill in the blanks in his comment. The former England player is Alistair Hignell. Played FB for England in the 1970s, I think. Lovely man, he lives in Bristol now I think. Has done commentary / analysis for ITV when they used to broadcast it. Now suffers from MS and has done a lot of fund-raising for research. He has done a few opinion pieces in The Times recently.

If you read these boards you'd believe Wales we a class above minnows like little Ireland, France and England. If that is the best the northern hemisphere can offer then we are doomed

I just thought that the Pumas, out thought Wales Hookisms. Showed much more passion and were clearly the better team today. Makes me worry about hosting the Puma's in a few weeks...
