The performances of Schaub, Webb, Dalton and Flacco have pretty much made the case of keeping the playoffs at 12 teams not 14/16

Wouldn't surprise me if the rumour is true - the way that knee buckled in the end it didn't look like there was a single ligament left in it! Also, he will have had the MRI first thing this morning, if it was good news we would have heard by now. It does feel a bit like people are getting their stories and excuses prepared before the outside world is told about it.

If it's true and he misses next season because of it then it's hard to see him ever coming back at the same level we've seen this season. Coming on the back of the mega trade to get him, Shanahan's decision last might will probably go down as the dumbest ever in history of the NFL.

Yeah it's more the development of his game that I'm thinking about. Having said that, I'm not sure he could come back from that kind of injury as dynamic as he was before so he would perhaps have to change his game accordingly.

RG3's MRI has shown partial tears of the ACL and LCL. Further exam in Florida tomorrow to determine whether they're new or old injuries. Surgery not a given yet. Would be a pleasant surprise though if he managed to avoid it.

quotes about seattle pre-season, user names annomimus

"Unless Harbaugh retires the overrated Carroll will never lead his team to 10 wins never mind 19"

"Oh and also the thought of the Seahawks shutting down Cam and the Panthers offence, you're tripping."

"cherries, put your xbox controller down and watch NFL Network. The Hawks are are 8-8 team at best this year."

"Also Marshawn Lynch has only ever really produced in a contract year. The highlight runs aside, he really isn't that good."

"Cardinals are more likely than Seattle"

Haha! He is good, but is he the best? Nah, probably not. The fact he is good though makes his stinking attitude all the more frustrating - he's a player you'd like to like but you can't because of all the unnecessary trash talking. Pete Carroll needs to get a hold of him and get him to calm down before he turns the Seahawks into the New York Jets, i.e. the team that everyone loves to see lose. Maybe hiding his Adderall and Ritalin would be a good place for Carroll to start....

I might be wrong, but weren't the Lions the most penalised team in the entire league? Definitely in personal fouls anyway. Plus they were the most arrested team in the offseason. The Jets were among the least penalised teams this year. How do the two compare? Where is the failure to control the players? Their problem is they have no talent in the offensive skill positions, a terrible coordinator to go with it and are in the most cut throat media environment in the USA.

Sorry, probably didn't express myself very well. I was commenting on Number 25's post about the Seahawks having a talented player who behaves like a douche, who is likely to turn people against him and the team if the Coach doesn't control him. I felt this sounded a lot more like the situation with Suh at the Lions, than the Jets who don't have any talented players but have a douche for a Coach. Whistle

Mixed reports on the lengths of RG3s rehab.

Heard 6-8 months and 8-12.

Though if I'm the Redskins I wait until hes 100% even if I have to hold him out of games. Gotta play the long game with RG3
