Senior Squads wrote:
The maximum squad size is 40 senior players. If a team has more than 40 players in their squad then they will be fined £1 million per player over the permitted amounts per day for the first seven days. If after 7 consecutive days a team still has more than the permitted number of players then the team will be fined £2 million per player per day, and fined 1 league point per player per day for the next seven days. If after this time a team still has more than the permitted number of players in their squad, the RFU (me) will remove players at it’s discretion to bring them back under the permitted numbers. There will be no right of appeal to players being removed.
Be aware that all tier one international matches which are played during the season will count in the game, and players selected in the matchday 22's for those matches will not be eligible to play for their clubs on that weekend, therefore you must give due consideration to the make up of your squad.
Academy Rules wrote:
Each team will be allowed to have a listed senior academy squad of 20 players. Players who are in the senior academy must be under 22 years of age as of 1st September 2012 (therefore must have been born on or after 1st Septmber 1990). Players who are under the age of 20 (so born after 1st September 1992) AND are in the academy of the club that you are managing in real life, DO NOT need to be listed as senior academy players as part of your 20, but are available to you in this game and cannot be poached by other clubs without paying you a fee.
Should a player not listed in your 20 senior academy players, but part of the clubs academy in real life move clubs in real life, then you will have first option of promoting him to your listed senior academy. If you choose not to take this option he will become property of the club that he moves to in real life in this game.
Transfers wrote:
- Domestic (other AP Teams)
Each team has a budget to use in the purchase of players. Domestic transfers between AP clubs, regardless of nationality of player, should be negotiated between the respective managers, and then confirmed on the Domestic Transfer Confirmation Page.- Domestic (Championship and below)
Each team may during the season purchase no more than 3 players from the Championship or the National Leagues. These players must be bid for on the Championship/National League bidding page, and each bid will be considered by me on it's own merits before being accepted or rejected. No bid will be accepted until a minimum of 24 hours has elapsed from the time the bid was made, in order to afford other managers the opportunity to make a counter bid.- Foreign
To make a foreign transfer (i.e from any club outside of the AP, regardless of whether the player is English) a bid should be made on the Foreign Transfers Page, which will be considered by me against the posted guidelines for purchase prices before being accepted or rejected. No bid will be accepted until a minimum of 24 hours has elapsed from the time the bid was made, in order to afford other managers the opportunity to make a counter bid.
Foreign transfers will unlimited during the off season and 2 during the season. The exact dates of the two transfer windows during the season is to be confirmed.
Player Releases wrote:
Managers may choose to release players from their clubs, for which they will be offered compensation
Compensation will be paid as follows
£2 million – current international (must have played international rugby in the previous 12 months)
£1.5 million – former international
£1m – top flight experience
£0.5m – other
If a released player plays in real life for a team outside of this game he will be deemed to have returned to that team. If not then he will be deemed to have signed for a Championship side. If another manager wants to pick a released player up, they will have to bid for him in the same way as for a foreign or Championship/National League player.
Retirements wrote:
There will be no compensation for retiring players. Should a player who retires decide to come out of retirement and play again, then he will automatically go back to the club who he was playing for in the game when he retired.
Fixtures wrote:
There will be 22 Aviva Premiership games per season, plus the play offs. There will also be Heineken Cup, Amlin Challenge Cup and Anglo Welsh Cup matches. These games will take place once a week. A thread will be put up for managers to name their teams on Thursdays, then on Fridays, managers will post the scores that they think will happen from these games (apart from games in which they are involved). An average of all predictions will be taken, and then 0.5 points added to each teams score for each prediction that had them as the winner, and that will then be the final score.
Teams wrote:
When naming your team, not only should you put the starting XV and replacements, but also tactics that your team will employ. Results will be affected by the tactics described.
In addition, each team must have the following:-
At least 10 England qualified players in your matchday 23, and at least 5 of those must be in your starting XV.
At least 2 props and 1 hooker on the bench.
All players must be eligible (not injured or banned).
Failure to comply with these rules will result in forfeiting the match and a 1 league point deduction.
If you fail to submit a team for a match, then the other team will be automatically awarded a 30-0 bonus point win. If both teams fail to submit a team, then it will be scored as a 0-0 draw.
Injuries and Suspensions wrote:
Injuries in this game do NOT reflect real life, they will be generated by me.
Players banned in real life will be ineligible for selection in this game for the duration of the ban.
Inclusion of injured/banned players will result in them being replaced by players on the bench, and the bench not having eight players, which may result in punishment if it concerns the front-row.
Punishment for fielding an ineligible player will be loss of one match point for a first offence, two for a second offence and so on.
Financial Rewards wrote:
There will be no rewards for the result of an individual match, instead the managers will receive cash for predicting.
£1.5m for descriptive predictions
£0.25m for scores on the doors predictions
If you fail to predict without first advising me that you are unable to do so that week, you will be fined £1m for a first offence, £2m for a second offence, £3m for a third offence etc.

It's the pressure of being involved in all the hype. If we lose there is a huge comedown associated with it. Happened loads of times before.
I mentioned 36 because he is in every bit of media activity and doing loads of the. O 2 stuff.
It's easy to get distracted from the game. Remember how poor the form was of the last England team to make the WC final most of them took a while to get back.
Personally I don't think players involved in the 6n should be played the week after and will not be playing any of mine.
Bassett is a good call prop was wondering the other day who may go in for him. We have great links with Bedford as a club

Parra is my only one where I don't have much choice about playing him to be honest. I could start TOL but I would imagine he would be hammered more than Parra will be. To be honest, I'll be amazed if Parra doesn't start for ASM the week after the 6 Nations finishes.

3 key players pooly ln heaslip mas and grey so keen to get them back. They have played every minute so are in pieces to be fair.
I did the same during RC and rested players I really wanted to play. I would play parra above those others Pete. It's about what's best for your own team to be fair

Re: Homepage
I won't be playing the likes of Hamilton, Castro and Dusautoir as they are real physical players and are likely to be nursing some hefty bumps and bruises to be fair. My front 5 is going to be a real patched up job to be honest having lost 4 to injury as well. If I take Hamilton out as he'll be knackered I only have 2 fit locks, Elstadt and Hanks, who whilst good players are a lot lighter than my first choice pairing of Timani and Hamilton. Will have to be some tinkering of the gameplan to suit the personal I think.

Heaslip immense vs Wales and poor vs England in great form apart from that for Leinster
Is this your usual which hunt of my players pooly? If its not mine it's chris's players. You are very much of the tabloid mentality.
Surprised you gave this game up as you spend almost every waking minute on it

Got to be a points deduction. Whilst it may have been a genuine mistake and he may qualify as EQP by other means, the paperwork was filled out incorrectly and Exeter Chiefs got docked points for a similar 'administrative error' where it was accepted that there was no intention to deceive or gain an advantage.
Although it was 9 games, I suspect they will deal with it as 1 incident and it will be a 3-5 point deduction.

They have already said they will appeal. They are jokers. I've just read the details of the hearing and they are lucky that they only got 5 points deducted. He shouldn't have been working in the UK as he had no visa so shouldn't be playing. They won at least 2 games with him in the side, one of which was against us.

No chance we would of gone down. Had a 5 point cushion and home games v worc, sale and welsh which i think we will win all 3. Home form is good beaten wasps and Saracens recently. Welsh would of gone anyway I reckon sale are good enough at home as well.

To be fair it looks like welsh got done over by there own bloke who falsified documents. 5 points is fair as welsh raised it themselves and the email trails show they reacted as soon as they knew that chap was lying.
That said they employed him and have to be accountable so 5 points is bang on.
I knew England's lineout had been poor but did not know we have the worst lineout in 6n 79% success rate.
Article in telegraph with parling saying he has got some calls wrong and got the ball thrown to where the opposition is marking. Shows its not always the hookers darts that go awry

Re: Homepage
Wonder if that was in the France game, as the lineout calls changed a lot when Youngs came on with everything going to the front.
When is the England team named? Will be a better Italian team now that Parisse can play, but should win by 15points you'd hope.

Hookers haven't helped either. Youngs went wild a bit against Jocks and Hartley was poor.
I think our set piece has been pretty average all round, we struggled in scrum against Ireland & France and lineout has creeked throughout.
The breakdown has been fantastic though, quick ball is what it's all about

He particularly named the France game saying he called the ball to Nyanga expecting him to move and he did not.
When your lineout is faltering you always go front ball to sure things up.
Agree pooly our set piece been average but breakdown fantastic apart from against France where we struggled for first 60.
Launch Robshaw and wood tremendous at blasting rucks

He is so powerful he runs over people. Key is to deny him space and be up in his face like all big wingers. Any space and they are near impossible at full speed.
Super 15 site called it a wonder try. Savea not great when kicked in behind like all big wings but is peerless currently on the front foot

Glad that Mako, Care are in and good to see Burns on the bench. Would of liked to see a 12T / Tuilagi combo though. Good to have Croft back in the mix. Guess he has edged out Billy V for bench spot.

Surprised 36 isn't starting, Burns & Croft are a bit of a call too.
Harsh for Billy V, would be an ideal game for him to get some gametime.
I'm guessing SL wants to nail the GS now and look to blood Wade, Billy, May etc in the summer??

Interesting to see how Mako goes, he perhaps is fighting to nail a starting spot in our best XV with Marler not looking great.
I imagine Care & Flood will drop back out against Wales unless they play out of their skin.

Marler appears to have stood still a bit, and his scrummaging needs plenty of work. Rowntree appears to be a big fan of Mako, and if he puts in a good show this week I can see him being preferred to Marler again against Wales.

If Youngs doesn't start against Wales then I will be shocked to my core. Flood not quite as certain with Farrell injured but he needs to play well to keep himself on the bench with Burns fit (if not firing quite yet
Don't expect Vunipola to excel. He is no better player than Marler but has been scrumagging against lesser or tired props.

I think Mako is a slightly better scrummager than Marler to be honest Steve. I do take your point that he's had it easier coming on, but I can see value in having them this way round. Give Mako 50 minutes max and then unleash Marler from the bench and tell him to do what he does best, which is be a force in the loose.
