Jenkins, James, Hunter can return kicks but think we will get a draft pick for that

do you think with A J Jenkins failiure to produce as a WR last year he could just become a Ginnv2?

@AdamSchefter
Cleveland gave former Raiders DT Desmond Bryant a five-year, $34 million deal.
If we still go OLB at #6 I'll be very very excited by out front 7 under Horton.

@MoveTheSticks
According to sources, the Titans are shopping Nate Washington.
Obviously it all depends on the price but he could be a great pick up for a team.

Horton is a great defensive mind, the browns already ave a Great Defense , I believe this year it'll easily be a top 5 unit, all depends on wether the offence can produce

Apparently the 49ers are very keen on Zach Ertz at TE.

Hope not, will be interesting to see how he develops this season, looks like he has packed on more muscle for this season so he should cope better

The Raiders have released WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, DB Michael Huff and DE David Tollefson; and re-signed DB Phillip Adams.
I can't say Im surprised to see DHB and Huff go.
For the money DHB was due to receive he is no where near productive enough. Huff is a strange one, I feel sorry for him slightly having played out of position practically all season because of injuries, however again with the money he was scheduled to recieve and the fact that he was often targeted and beaten by opposing QBs again didn't prove his production was enough to meet his earnings.
I still think that Kelly and potentially Palmer (the latter depending on restructuring salary) will be cut as well
Gutted to see Bryant go, but we couldn't have paid him that much

Re: Ongoing NFL discussion thread part 2
A few thoughts on the new Eagles
Brandon Fletcher: Probably my favorite signing. Hes been really good for StL when hes healthy. Hasn't happened enough recently. Either way for a team with no options outside, a good pickup.
James Casey: I like Casey. Underutilised by the Texans, shouldn't be a problem with Chip Kelly.
Pat Chung: Must admit I've never been a Chung fan. But average is a massive step up from the garbage we have on the roster. Also didn't want to pay Goldson so that works for me.
Isaac Sopoaga: The Eagles starting DL read scrub-Dixon-Cox. Now its RJF-Sopoaga-Cox. Yeah, he's old and mostly for use on run downs these days, but for a 1-2 year stopgap I can deal with it.

Bryant is a big loss and so is Wheeler. I imagine we stock up with LBs in free agency again and go DT in the draft with #3 overall.
Kelly will surely be cut, and supposedly Lamarr Houston will move inside to DT as well. We do then also need a DE...

If you simply type in "Desmond Bryant" on google, you get some cracking mock ups of that shot.
The best one is super imposed on a seal. I'd post it but I have no clue how to.

Patrick Chung has his base $3.25M in 2014 fully guaranteed, which tells you they expect him to be a starter this year and next.
Eagles better have a good backup for the next couple years then. Not a fan of Chung at all. Huge disappointment at us, really not upto it.

Eh 3.25m really isnt that much for a starter. They'll draft a guy and hope the light clicks on for Allen. Besides, it hasn't happened for the Chung the last 2 years, but there was potential there. Reunites with Chip who was his HC at Oregon.
In any case, the options don't really stack up in FA from a safety standpoint. Pay Goldson like the elite player he isn't, hope New York Landry sticks rather than Washington Landry, Reed only wants a contender and looked old last season. Chung isn't great but he'll be solid enough.

He'll do alright, but he'll go down injured about Week 4.

2 years, $2.8million. I'm pretty happy with the Browns moves so far, hopefully they'll still add a #2 CB, then a Guard or TE would be nice, I know Geoff Schwartz is rumoured to be very interested in joining to play RG next to his brother.Pr4wn wrote:Quentin Groves has been signed to a two year deal by Cleveland.

OK, clarification: Only ONE MILLION of Chung's 2014 is guaranateed, per league source. That changes everything.

Eagles being linked to Andre Smith and Vollmer.
Vollmer would make more sense given his year in the hurry up BB took from Chip. Andre Smith doesn't since hes a fatass.

I don't think anyone is making space for Victor Cruz. Nobody ever does for first round tendered RFA . Jacoby Jones plenty effective enough as the #3.

Re: Ongoing NFL discussion thread part 2
I'm still expecting the 49ers to make a move. Not saying it'll be huge but still significant. Woodson will most likely sign and I'm happy with that but I think Revis, Sean Smith are still slight possibilities. But I'm hoping Landry, Derek Cox and Aqib Talib and other good but not great guys are on the radar

Like I've said before I'm not too bothered if the Pats lose Talib with his history of hamstring issues I don't think he's worth the risk.
Losing Vollmer will be a big blow. We need to get him back imo
