England vs Italy: Match thread
First topic message reminder :
So what are peoples predictions? It's snowing in Leicester, so I presume similar weather at Twickenham?
I have a bad feeling about this game and don't think England will run away with it as many are predicting.

If Italy want to win this game they should have gone for the touch.

Hate to point out at ashton defense but he was clearly at fault on the italian try.

What, like an actual winger perhaps?! The back line apparently sacrificed pace and stepping for good hands and defence....that's really working out for us.

First time I've ever seen England subs looking reluctant to go on.

Don't get me wrong he's a decent FB but he's a poor winger, position aside though that was a terrible tackle attempt and he was batted away like a child!!

Sad that the best thing England have done this half was the Croft lineout steal

England need to slow the ball down, work the set peice because when the game breaks up they look very vulnerable!!

So ashton was lying about not being afraid of tackling then.

This is really good for Italian rugby, I was hoping they would have another good game before end of tournament. Oh England just beasted them in a scrum, but up until then Italy have looked very good, much more controlled and defence has been very good too.

Better from England, return to the structure and keep control, wait for Italian mistakes at the breakdown!

Complacency certainly has kicked in for this one. Many posters rubbishing Italy for this one. Few gave them a chance. Theyll probably win but once again, an alarming inability to score tries will not help with Gatlands selections.

Ha, quite, but when was the last time you didn't see us do this - win a few games then look poop against Italy. We haven't had a top team that genuinely took it one game at a time since 2003.

Some bizarre decisions here. someone should tell the ref that 'winnning' the scrum isnt the same as winning a penalty, and ask him to watch Dan cole who is illegal in everything he does at ruck and maul time

It certainly won't England need control, and they won't get it in an open game!

Everything we did well in the first couple of games, we've not done today. Why? If SL doesn't say something similar I'll be genuinely worried.

Burns and Twelvetrees are best kept on the bench - you can understand it when we're showing the attacking threat of....thats no attacking threat what so ever....
SL you pillock.....still Daddy's boy will be back next week.
Twelvetrees gets 13 minutes......

Got an idea - put Lawes at b/s and replace wood for Haskell at no 8.
