First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to the original Walkabout pub in London's Covent Garden, as it is set to close its doors at the end of the month.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Mark Ella or recent birthday boys Gibson and Glas a du above the bar.

I caught Mrs G this morning:
Mrs G: "Nobody has tried an April Fool trick on us yet"
Me "it's not April Fools day that's why, that's tomorrow"
Her "is it?"
Me "aye, aye."
Her "oh OK..."
Hook line sinker.

You should show her the new "smell" version of google.

MrsP, why do you keep posting completely blank posts? Or is there something wrong with my browser. This is the fourth time in the last few days were you've just posted... nothing

That was the lightbulb emoticon btw (idea) and I can't see the row of emoticons in the OP, didn't even know they were meant to be there and I've glanced over it a hundred times most likely.
There was also a winking one after my comment to show it was in jest. The effect of it's potential absence ironically contradicts the post it appended!

I think sometimes the emotions don't appear straight away. I can't see them on my PC but I can on my mobile. I think they take a while to download for some reason.

We seem to have a new one.... 'EDD'
Emoticon Deficiency Disorder.

Thanks for coming back to me last night Notch. I kinda figured what you meant. No point gping over all that stuff in here. There have been numerous threads on the HC proposals. The Regions' joining the Prem just won't happen as things stand.
Evening people. I had reboot my phone this morning. Blydi thing had freaked out. But I lost loads of texts, emails etc.
Not the end of the world.

No worries bud. You getting over to Dublin in May? If so, save up all your grievances and hit me with them when I can't hide behind a computer screen! Don't go letting me off the hook now... <whistlingemoticon>

Aye, me and my Wasps sidekick will be in Dublin for the HC. We managed to get accomodation sorted over the weekend. I thought a load of rooms had been booked by stag, but apparently not.
Quite surprised that we got away with €359 for three nights, give the tales of hotel banditry I've heard from others.

Really cant wait for that. Cardiff will take some beating. The banter, pish-taking and craic, will be immense.
Rav has set us up in a prima, pre-game, spot.
Love to see Ulster in yet another HC Final. And win it. Love to see a grown man cry with joy.
He deserves it so.

Aw man, don't get me started now MrsP!
It's the hope that kills you. I just hope if Nevins up there or in here, or any part of what we are that lasts afterwards the ball will see fit to bounce our way in these European Cup games. Would mean so much.

Nevin's influence on our HEC campaign is through the impact he had on his team mates. His dedication, his enthusiasm for training and his determination to be the best rugby player he could possibly be.
That is his legacy to us and it would mean sooo much if we were able to have a tangible token to ensure that his name goes down in not only the Ulster Rugby history books (where he wil never be forgotten) but also those of World Rugby too. Would be a fitting tribute to the lad.

Thats what I thought when we won it in 2009. All the past players and near-misses. Great players and fans I knew, who never made it. Fans who's hopes were cruelly dashed by a single decision. People who strived to make it all happen. People who built up and pocketed the required hurt to actually do it. If that makes any sense.
So much History and personal memories come to the fore in one beautiful moment. I will be basterdly honest here, I didnt think it was on for Ulster this year. But I do now.
Saffacens are no where near as good a team as ye lot, at full-strength. Ye play rugby. They dont. Ye are as hard, if not harder than them up front. Go out and beat them.
Make that Final again. Its not a dream. Its real. Huge ask, but it is real. We did it. Munster led the way. Carved that path. So can Ulster now.
Believe.

The best thing about Jonathan Creek is the theme music.
What about Munster Gibbo? Don't you think they have been toying with us all with this mock-ineptitude?

It's like a victim of childhood trauma. Even when they grow up and become strong, and their tormentor becomes weak and enfeebled, they still have the flashbacks!

She literally just texted there as I read this glas. Your timing is impeccable! We're going to a wedding together in a months time. Only issue there is her mum's going as well. Which will either hinder or help my ability to pull I'm not sure.

I should not have scanned. Not have scanned.
Glas darlin, I think Munster will confound all and beat Quins at the Stoop. By playing like Munster that is. Wont be purdy, but its what they do best.
,
I also believe that Ulster will take Saracens quite handily in the end. With Papa Afoa back, the imperious Muller back at the helm. With a team that loves to carry & attack.. Rory back in the zone... yeah.
2 Irish teams in the HC semis.
Wasps to beat Leinster in the Amlin.
BOD & Dorce back for the Grand Final. Phook de Amlin. I want the Grand Final.
