The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Walkabout, Covent Garden
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to the original Walkabout pub in London's Covent Garden, as it is set to close its doors at the end of the month.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Mark Ella or recent birthday boys Gibson and Glas a du above the bar.

Here are the stats.
Glos v BOPB:
Poss: 70/30;
Territory: 71/29;
Carries: 141/56;
Metres Made: 541/425;
Breaks: 8/5;
Tackles: 45/156
I mean, so much possession and territory and yet very little hint of a threat.

I think it's hilarious that the Western Mail is being tied in knots over the current CRISIS! in Welsh rugby. It's usually very easy, agree with Roger or agree with Peter. Now Roger and Peter are genuinely at loggerheads (Peter working behind the scenes with the other Regions in this case) they don't know which way to turn. Central Contracting, the panacea yesterday (or 'no brainer' as they so eloquently put it), is a minor issue in a wider crisis today!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Walkabout, Covent Garden
"The regions would question the tactics of the WRU executive, led by Roger Lewis, in bringing what was a democratic and agreed process via the PRGB and memorandum of understanding to a grinding halt.
"The four regions and the WRU signed and agreed a memorandum of understanding in November 2012 that outlined the creating of the PRGB.
"On the basis of that agreement the PRGB met once on 17 December 2012. The regions have not changed or altered in any way their interpretation, understanding or intent or commitment to the agreements reached since the first proposals were made in May 2012.
"We are therefore calling for an independent arbitrator to assess why this duly agreed democratic process has been halted."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/22028777
The ball's in Roger Lewis's court, and inviting the regions to meet outside the agreed framework, without even saying what their problem is with that framework, is no good at all.

4 weeks before a marathon you should be starting to taper your training off from one long (20 mile) run and three short (5-8 mile) runs a week.
So....

Eh!
No it doesn't "sound good" at all Rodders!!!
Have you been doing a 20 mile run each week along with 3 short ones?
When I say "taper" I mean there should have been some serious training going on to "Taper" from!!!!

Not quite mrs p but I mean surely running 20 miles is no harder than 10 if your run half as fast? Thats what Isaac Newton reckons anyways....

Magnetic pole reversals are no laughing matter fly, just ask the dinosaurs.... the upside (no pun intended) is that we will be in the southern hemisphere which should make us better at rugby....

Evening.
Will be staying up late to watch Wasps v Leinster tonight. Leaning towards Wasps, due to the Welsh connection, but if I was laying money on the game I would back Leinster.
Hope it's a cracker anyway. Enjoy Hound and if any of the Leinster mob are over. I guess the lurker will be making the trek over, or is he putting his eggs into the Ulster basket nowadays?

If I could stick my pretty little nose in here for a second, Rodders, if you don't have a time you want to finsih in and pace yourself you should be relatively okay, but you should do a fair bit of training for one.

I don't get on often, load of shoite on the Irish boards that gets a bit tedious, have been sorting out interveiws for the V2 American Football podcast, and planning a trip to Florida and things surroudnig that so have been busy.
Will get on more in a bit a month or so but sporadic appearances in between.
No plenty of Munster fans who are heading over for the Ulster game too, doubt tickets shall be a problem, hope some Ulster fans get some for Sunday too, although I would think tickets for that are more difficult to get.
Know Stag is heading over, anyone else heading to London?

That is why Madigan has more potential then Sexton. Sexton will likely achieve more success, but Madigan's ceiling is far higher than Johnny's. (Madigan's ceiling is higher, but Sexton's floor is if you get me)

Totally agree. And Jonny is my boy. Madigan has soo much in him yet to come. Cocckeey basterd. Thinks and moves in nano-seconds. Great kicker, excellent passer, great defender and a persistent line-breaker. Perfect 10

She's grand, I'm not too bad myself, bro's heading to San Fran for the summer and I'm off to Florida for a good 3 weeks so plenty work being done, missed some live LOI tonight due to training but this game isn't a bad substitute despite the urine poor defending.
Got some interviews for the journal lined up with some American Football section which is thriving there, so things going well? How's you?

Being a big Bar Steward does not make you a 7 or necessarily a good backrow, focus on size does my nut in rugby. At underage it is criminal and it is no onwder why our underage teams often struggle in competitions.
