That girl last night shouldn't of been fired.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Thought Sophie should have fired in all truth. And as for this apprentice candidate, Luisa, I'll let you make up your own minds:

Nah the right girl got fired. She was a patronising mare and kept talking to the other girls like primary school children. She was too OTT for me.
I hope none of the lads win, they are all wet blankets.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
No i disagree, she told them to sell the cat litter at the cat home, which is obviously the best place to go, hence the men went there and won. No one listened to her. I thought she did a fairly ok job as Project Manager tbh. Admittedly she was a bit rude to some of them.
Sophie should of been fired though.
Sounds like they all have a mare tonight, might have to sky plus it tonight though as the Tottenham vs Chelsea game is on!

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
I chose to watch the apprentice over the 2nd half of the footy tonight!
Think Tom was a bit unlucky to get the boot. I would of fired Rebecca, she doesn't appear to really have a big say in anything is a just a passenger. Pretty fit though.
Tbh they all did some stupid things tonight, it quite a simple task.

I thought that Rebecca was going to go, then she turned on the emotion and got off! The guy that went needed to grow a pair. He was trying to please everyone and not upset them.
That posh guy on the boys team that those 2 lads kept yelling at makes me laugh. What. A. Tool!

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
As the Apprentice is a microcosm for industry, does it not concern anyone that we've just avoided atriple dip recession and yet we're allowing Alan Sugar to hire these people as potential business partners?
Methinks it's him who needs firing, the spud faced chancer.
"Alan Sugar, a boy from working class roots..." Yeah, who then drives his Rolls Royce past all the other market traders rubbing their noses in it...w*nker!
No wonder this country is on it's ar$e

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Had a long post written and lost it!
Basically think that in the first episode either Sophie or Jaz could have gone and I wouldn't have though he had made a mistake, and Tim was the right choice. Not sure what Nick has been watching with the statement "I would of fired Rebecca, she doesn't appear to really have a big say in anything is a just a passenger." just been their top seller both times and was sub team leader in the second episode, it's early enough in the process where sales figures alone can save your ass.
The Boys team made some stupid decisions though think had they got to the final board room Kurt could easily have gone simply due to being a poor project manager. Feel a little sorry for Jason because it seems like the other guys really dislike him, maybe they feel he's an easy target after his performance in the first week?
Edited the title just to make sure nobody read the thread when they didn't want to know who was fired.

Jason was a complete idiot Derby. Not only does he sound like a posh t**t but he cost them money. The 2 agreed a price for 90 and he says we will sell it to you for 75
Don't have an early prediction of who to win, but no one is striking me down at being impressive yet tbh.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Oh I'm not defending him just felt sorry for him though I will say he cost them at most £15 (I'm sure they agreed at 80 but we'll take your figure) so it's far from the end of the world when compared to other mistakes made by the team (or the other team) I think they were all having a go at him after the 1st task too which is the sort of thing I would say is best left until you find out if you win or lose. He hadn't cost them money when dracula basically just told him to shut up and call some pubs and not get involved in any negotiations, though he did prove that request was a good idea.NickisBHAFC wrote:Jason was a complete idiot Derby. No idea Kenny would hope that making good tv doesn't come into Sugar's choice of who to put on the show but get the feeling somebody probably considers it? Or maybe it's that only those sort of people apply and then getting on makes them even worse?

There must be some sort little handbook they all buy full of moronic lines about how to build yourself up as they all come out with the same clap trap about how they are the number ones in their field or how they are go getters who wont be put off or such rubbish

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Two years ago I got to the final interview stage but had to miss it due to work commitments (I had the Queen and DoE coming that day and they wouldn't re-schedule). I didn't have any stupid lines or catchphrases so I probably wouldn't have gotten on the show, but I was absolutely 100% confident I'd win.

Sorry, didn't see this. I applied through the Apprentice website, was emailed to attend an audition, queued all day for it, got through, another audition, passed it, then it was interview stage - which I couldn't attend.Kenny wrote:Azzy Mahmood wrote:Two years ago I got to the final interview stage but had to miss it due to work commitments (I had the Queen and DoE coming that day and they wouldn't re-schedule). Questions were varied, general business questions, financial, maths, personal, hypothetical...all really easy to answer, but some people massively struggled. I think they were looking for your personality more than the right answer, but having both was a plus. I made a good friend out of it that was on the reserve list in case someone pulled out at the last minute (he wasn't needed).

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Yeah it was the right decision.
The girls, that product they created was horrific and simply laughable. However they pitched it quite well. They all clearly can't work well in a team and just argue all the time, the project manager never stands a chance.
Sophie has tried to hide every week, which is something Lord Sugar really hates. So her time was running out and fast.
The boys were very impressive this week it has to be said.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
I think all 3 could have gone really. Really thought he would fire 2 and get rid of the PM too.
For some reason those girls just can't work together, it looks to have been the same as what happened in week 2, they're meant to be creative and be sharing ideas but a few get attached to one and shut everything else down and just shout over the dissenting voices until they give up. They had so many ideas about what was going to be on the sides of this cube and it turned into a box with removable lid, how very inventive of them...

That vile Luisa woman is the root of all evil on the girls' team. She makes arguments, then places the blame on others and accuses people of 'not taking responsibility'. No-one's noticed that she's done sweet fa so far besides moan, back-stab and connive.
That Alex is a dimwit. Great idea for the chair, terrible people skills, worst pitch ever

Luisa is an absolute arse, and I hope she goes soon.
Zee (?) is also an arse, and I do look forward to seeing him in a boardroom being left flat on his face by Lord Sugar.
Jason is gold.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Best line so far was when three of the lads were discussing Zee and one asked 'would you buy a car from him?'
Of course the reply was (to paraphrase) 'hell no!'
The girls though are just a shambles - have absolutely no idea on how to work as a team, which has resulted in their three losses. They were so busy shouting at each other that they didn't realise they'd designed a box on wheels.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
I was a little bit disappointed that Evolve won because I thought there was a pretty good chance that she would have been the one who got fired. Uzma doesn't look like she had contributed really at all so far this year so it's not a surprise to see her finally gone, though again it was a week where more than one of the final three could have gone with a pretty reasonable explanation.Kenny wrote:finally Uzma has gone , now i want to see Luisa go next or the prat with glasses

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Haha yeah, and then at the reward meal talking to the camera saying how they made her look bad because they thought they would lose I wanted to slap her then and when she said "lead by me" when it seemed to be down to the subteam that they were a success. I think Jordan probably regrets that, I would be on my best behaviour in that board room, you can behave like that when you've gotten out the doors but it's all a bad reflection on you and I'm sure Lord Sugar will remember it.Kenny wrote:That smug look on Luisa's face when she knew they had won i could of slapped off , and the glasses prat (i can't remember his name ) telling Lord Sugar to try buffalo meat and then jumping around like a looney i think iritated Sir Al

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
I find them all particularly annoying and incompetent this year. Usually at this point a few of them appear to at least have some sense, but it's not been forthcoming yet. I thought the older guy (Giles?) but then he went at pitched a £75 chair at 16 year-olds.
"We invented a box on wheels which you can slide the lid off - and what's more, doesn't it look awful?" was a particularly memorable occasion.
Agree with the consensus that Luisa is particularly slappable.
Jordan doesn't annoy me that much though I have to say.
Jason I hope stays a while for entertainment.

They're all ridiculous people and the only one with any oomph is the fat vampire. Sadly, I wouldn't trust him to clean the dead flies off my number plate let alone go into business with him.
Glad Uzma's gone though, my wife hated her (perhaps an irrational response but somehow justified by hearing this)
"Fresh potatoes straight from the ground" Brilliant!
"Oh, you mean these aren't the more exotic vine grown potatoes or the ones laid by Unicorns?"

Louisa is a dick, but I got to give someone credit who can use the phrase 'epic fail' in real life with a straight face, plus she pretty hot. Think the older bloke seems fairly competent, and the 2 blonde girls come across ok. None of them seem investable at this stage. Did you see Youre Fired after? It showed a really funny unseen clip of Jason They need to concentrate the show on him.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
God that phrase annoys me so much. That clip was great they should have left it in, but then if they did that there would be no reason to watch You're Fired. I would agree that nobody has really stood out as being a great candidate for the investment but it's still early, think it might help if we knew more about each candidates business plan think we only know that Neil's is some form of online estate agency, Kurt clearly wants to go into milkshakes and Natalie's is something to do with fashion.kingjohn7 wrote:Louisa is a dick, but I got to give someone credit who can use the phrase 'epic fail' in real life with a straight face, plus she pretty hot.
