Im also pretty sure Lord Sugar would have offered Neil a job or will after the series is over.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Neil had this in the bag from about round 2 or 3 imo , if only he had listened to the advice and altered his business plan i think Lord Sugar would of chosen him and a poorer plan over either of the two girls

Neil was a nasty one trick pony, with no business skills.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Azzy, I don't get your problem with Neil. He was no worse than countless other candidates both in this years and previous series!
I think Luisa will win, her business idea is the best imo. Also, I can't stand Leah's voice.
I noticed Jordan didn't do a taxi interview after being fired, was he on the You're Fired show afterwards?

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
He was on You're Fired, yes. They took the mickey out of him and that's about it. I don't like Neil because of his manner - he's direct, borderline condescending, and never listens to anyone. He thinks he's God's gift to whatever it is he's doing. And he looked very sheepish on You're Fired, I hope he's learnt some humility through the process.
Sugar called him 'mate' and 'my friend', and also said he'd get the job if it was a job - a clear winner, but he didn't have the right idea (his idea was just plain silly).
Glad we get press coverage of Leah for the next few weeks #fingerscrossed

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Yesterday highlighted how farcical the show has become. Why was Jordan allowed to go on the show if his business plan was that flawed? And it sounded like Neil would have won this series if it was conducted in the original manner as well.
So Luisa v Leah final then. I think, 95% certain anyway, Luisa will win. Surely no way Lord Sugar will invest in Leah's risky venture that he seemed to have serious reservations about last night.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Sugar's reservations are two-fold:
1. Ethics - not a problem really going by his track record thus far, and
2. Risk - insurance covers botched procedures, but the press coverage of a series of botched jobs would ruin his, and the programme's, reputation
In terms of profit and ease of set up, Leah's is the best choice.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
I have enjoyed this series, as I enjoy the show generally but do think when they changed the show to investing rather than a job it spoilt it to some extent because they have rendered the weeks running up to the last few slightly irrelevant. You can be far and away the best candidate across all the tasks, as the girl who worked at Greggs was the year before last but if your business idea is bobbins you will not win.
Similar has happened with Neil this year, whilst something of a self important tool he is clearly the best candidate but has gone as his idea does not work.

She had her head screwed on so she had! And the Derry accent she has isn't too harsh either - trust me, it can be really awful (and that's before you even get to Nadine Coyle levels).

This series was a bit weak tbh. Don't think Luisa would've sniffed the final in some other series

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
The worst series of the Apprentice ever in my view. Just like it's sad to see a once-great boxer carry on past his prime, it's sad to see this once-great TV show go on when it is so far removed from its original point and purpose. Only highlight of this series was Jason, in truth. None of the candidates were any good.
Nice to see Leah won though over Luisa.

I don't like the idea of having a £250,000 investment, i prefered a job offer.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Filming for the next series has recently begun, and it will be screened around autumn time. It has, for reasons of ratings, been filmed at such a time to avoid it clashing with the World Cup.
I don't imagine that there will be a contestant as cute as Jason this time around.

Starts again tomorrow for a new series. And there is some sort of highlight show on this evening looking back at the past ten years.
Twenty candidates this time - surely too many?

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
I struggle to believe that ten highly-intelligent (supposedly!) people do not know the meaning of the word 'decadence'. And that first female project manager dodged a certain firing by around £50. Close margins.
Early favourite for the series: Solomon. Only cause he's cute!

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Idiots galore once more.
That black guy has serious anger issues, flies off the handle as soon as someone mentions him. He'll probably last a wee while though.
The PM for the girls was a bloody disaster, saved by the boys being even worse. Plus she is rare looking so hopefully she gets binned sooner than later.

Re: The Apprentice Thread (SPOILERS)
Yes, not an inspiring start to the series.
The girls have won twice mainly by being the less crap team. I suspect we might see a few more double or triple firings in the coming weeks, a lot of deadweight being carried at present.

Steven has to be a contender for the worst ever candidate to appear on the show. Atrocious.
