The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ballycastle Bar, Hong Kong.
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Hong Kong, host city for the British & Irish Lions first Tour match before their arrival in Australia - land of the Giant Budgie Smuggler.
So grab a beer, cider, whiskey or wine.... or a warm beverage and sit back and enjoy the rugby.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Rory Best, Sam Warburton, the Limavady Luge Team, Papa Rodders, Mrs Rodders and our newest & sweetest member, Katelyn.

I can't say I don't envy you Stag, hardly there for all the tests are you? At the company's expense is it? Must be tough....

You flown down under before? 19 hours is a bit of a trek. Although most planes have on demand seatback tv screens so that helps I suppose, and also have wi-fi and charge points, You can say hi to us on the plane, or live tweet your journey (I'm considering it in a month to annoy people I know and don't know).
This will only interest me but anyway, they've made a mini simpsons theme park in America inside the same large park which has the Harry Potter area, talk about worlds apart!

In the Universal part of it (they are next door to each other but not the one park, you can get tickets to go to both though as they are on the same "grounds") but yes it's in Universal part.

They've got that up quickly, didn't see any signs of building work when we were there 12 months ago!

Safe travels Hound and Stag, have a fantastic time!
Spent the last couple of days helping my sister and family move house. All went well apart from Jacob taking a tumble down the stairs A 2 year old going head first down a full flight of stairs is not something I ever want to see or hear again A dash to A&E showed no damage other than a possible finger fracture so he is one very lucky little boy, but I never want to go through that again.
Think I'll have a large

Watch you don't have too much and end up doing the same! Kids are tougher than you think sometimes. I think they deal with a tumble like that better than an illness. Hope his finger is better soon. Plenty of Calpol!

I probably explained it badly, obviously they have the Simpsons Ride already so what they've done is add about 3 or 4 Simpsons themed restaurants and a couple of shops, if they have the room I could see them adding a ride in the future. You can order Duff beer or a Flaming Moe too!

Ah OK. Is the Flaming Moe going to be any better than the abomination that is Butterbeer? I did not like Butterbeer...

I didn't mind butterbeer, it was like a butterscotch milkshake, Flamine moe is non-alcoholic though, that takes the sting out of it I think, told it is kind of citrus-y, it is about 7 dollars but sure I'll stump for that!

Lovely day all right. Knackered.com now though. Today was work's summer outing so we spent the morning in teams trying to earn points by answering quiz questions, solving puzzles and doing random arts & crafts. Then this afternoon was an It's a Knockout style sports contest, so lots of running over and through inflatable canvas structures while people threw water at you, along with egg n spoon races, sack races, etc.
And lastly some nice drunken dodgems to round out the day.

There are people who have never watched the Sopranos?
How can they manage?
I have watched all 7 series at least 3 times. Considering starting again.

I'm one of them too. It's not a sort of programme that has interested me personally. I've heard of it, but that sort of thing has never interested me. Like The Godfather films...never seen all of those either.
Evening All
Hope everyone's well and excited about the Lions...I am a bit nervous mind. Should be a good match though. I'm off work now until 1st July. Having a few days off at home before heading on a jolly to Liverpool for my birthday. Never been there before, so I'm sure there'll be some interesting bits to see.
UP THE LIONS!

Just polished off an unreal burrito. Now heading to the suncorp, no one up back home? I'll try and post a bit during the game but I'm already at 48% battery.

Think we need to get Cummins in there for next week. Maybe call up Mogg if possible. The forwards gained confidence as the match wore on. Whilst it doesn't feel great losing by all those missed kicks (and slips!) I am still proud of the boys for the way they played tonight. Brisbane will be rocking tonight no doubt.

Pete, I believe I predicted in the podcast that Australia would take our strength and their weakness and turn it into their strength? I hate being right sometimes...

God were the Lions shoite, was almost rooting for the Aussies at the end with Sky's shoite. The scrum was good by and large, they lost all the big ones though.

The Aussies will win the next test, methinks. Injuries will force Deans to pick Cooper and start Beale and they'll play loose and fast and come out of the changing rooms fired up and will win by 2 scores. Glad we won today but Australia were better, and with a lot of things that made the game much harder for them. Losing LLF and Beale was massive, JOC will never be under that much pressure again

No optimism allowed Stag, only doom and gloom as well as some bitchiness, and giving out about Warburton, and co.

Hi Gang!
Had a lovely morning at Penfro Towers watching the match and having breakfast. A barbeque was out of the question though because there's a howling gale over South Wales at the moment, so we had brekkie indoors. My Laydeez Lions shirt made its debut and...phew! What a start! I thought I'd have no nerves left unshredded! So pleased for all the Lions team though, and especially Captain Sam cause so many people were moaning about his selection. Commiserations Breaker . I think the Wallabies were just unlucky considering the missed kicks. Their tries were class. Such a shame about all the injuries too. Hope no one is seriously injured and they all make a full recovery. Injury was my biggest concern to be honest.
But hey, if the Wallabies win the second test can you imagine what the third will be like for excitement?! Both teams will be going hell for leather....and guess who could well be back by then? He's looking very good at the moment...that hand is healing nicely...
So pleased our Regs on Tour got to see that too. Enjoy the parties lads!
