The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Pyongyang
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Pyongyang in a bid to persuade Kim Jong Un to pack away the missiles, grab a beer and watch the rugby.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Donal Walsh, Chris & the late Hannah Eaton, the retiring Marcus Horan, the recently hospitalised Schalk Burger (with meningitis), the recuperated Jacques Burger, and the three-peating ANBL champion NZ Breakers

Hartleys face always reminds me of Vicky Pollard and I was waiting for him start acting like her as well when he got sent off. "Yeah, but no...so unfair!"

Nice name Rodders, even though our best delinquent mother has (had, the council have her now) a child called that, as does my business partner, a fact we occasionally have cause to remind her about

Can we have Katelyn's Bar Hong Kong (twinned with Limavady or wherever Rodders lives?)

This could go on all night, where do you live Rodders?
Yes, we loved it. Went around the Ards, to the show, to Lisburn leisure centre, to the causeway, Bushmills distillery, Victoria square and the Titanic museum. Enjoyed every minute.

My home turf squire! Didnt know you where in town or I'd have suggested lunch. As Northern Ireland's second most important city we have a number of fine eateries.

They take photos of all the possible Lions quite a while befor the announcement so the pics are all ready.
I seem to remember a certain Monaghanman getting a bit of a ribbing about it 4 years ago.

I'm sure Rory only damaged his eye yesterday though? Anyway, if it was rushed today I think it's funny.

Maybe although I suspect he might be looking a bit rougher than that today!
I think they must have all the pics ready. Do they not show them as they announce the squad?

I think the ones they had before the first get together were photoshopped...and you know that BOD and Melon were photoshopped into the squad photo...and badly too. I just thought for Rory it must feel like he's won a holiday or something having to rush round and do everything to catch up with the others.

It would certainly be strange packing to go away so far for so long at such short notice.
Big 24 hours for our Rory alright!

Congrats Rodders... and also Mrs Rodders.
So glad to leave Pyongyang... the food here is terrible!
So, Ballycastle Bar, Hong Kong?
What portraits besides Rory? Sam? Manu? Who's the Lion's assistant trainer again?
The Barbarians should feel ashamed of themselves so none of them!
Back in my day... the whole village used to be scared of them but now even the kiddies taunt them and throw washed vegetables at them as they go past in their convertibles.....
