The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ballycastle Bar, Hong Kong.
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Hong Kong, host city for the British & Irish Lions first Tour match before their arrival in Australia - land of the Giant Budgie Smuggler.
So grab a beer, cider, whiskey or wine.... or a warm beverage and sit back and enjoy the rugby.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Rory Best, Sam Warburton, the Limavady Luge Team, Papa Rodders, Mrs Rodders and our newest & sweetest member, Katelyn.

See, that's the slightly frustrating bit. Up until now he has thought he didn't really have to work so would pick and choose which bits of training he did.
That attitude drives me nuts!!!! But, the drive has to come from him. We can make sure we are available to get him to training etc but he has to want to do it. It is nice to see him motivated.

That was what I meant MrsP, more that you will facilitate him being able to achieve. I know I clock up some miles with the kids, but I reckon you more than likely double it!

Sure do.
Last weekend was the 3rd time in 5 weeks he was down in Tullamore. It's about a 3 hour drive each way!
This will be the first weekend for about 2 months that someone hasn't been at an athletics meet. We might even get to stay in the house past 8am!

But where's the fun in that?!
I have a 120 mile round trip for tomorrow nights show, but fortunately Saturday's is walking distance for a change!

The things we do, eh?
To make matters worse, MrP phones me to tell me he'd lost a contact lens and hadn't packed his specs so he was going to have to drive back to the hotel that night, back to the stadium on Sunday and then the 170miles home that evening with one eye closed!!!
Thankfully someone found it while he was on the phone as I was frantically trying to remember which of our team were going down on Saturday night!!!

Mind boggling debut, Lucky. We were gone at 117/9. He's almost a national hero here today. Saved our erses!
I'd seen him play in T20 but he didn't strike me as a standout player. Nice family too... I liked the crowd shots of them

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ballycastle Bar, Hong Kong.
I doubt there was a single person at Trent Bridge bar the England players and coaches who wasn't gutted when he holed out on 98. He showed no fear at all, but there was nothing streaky about his shot-making. He just backed himself. England could have bowled better at him, but then you don't expect a number 11 to be that good with the bat!
I was glad to see Pietersen play sensibly yesterday. There's no rush to score these runs. If he and Cook can just occupy the crease, the bad balls are bound to come.

Sorry, but I think Pasquale is funnier. Stuart Lee just makes me think too much, not laugh out loud.

Well thats comedy for you. Unlike selection decisions involving Brian O'Driscoll, there is no definitive right or wrong
I must admit it annoys me that part of Stewart Lees on stage persona relies on a certain kind of elitism towards other less sophisticated comedians but when he gets to the line "...rudimentary brewing facilities" I'm always laughing and I've seen that clip many times...

Thats good. It's good he has something like that as his fallback option. I think David Pollock (former Ulster openside) went down a similar road after he was forced to retire very early in his career.

Afternoon all. I see England are making a go of the test match.
I'm off on a legendary Wasps fan's 50 birthday pub crawl tomorrow. It will be a good hoot, but punishing.

Nice one CJ! Congrats!
I have been a grade A numpty today
Only went and ran out of petrol on my way home from work didn't I?!? Idiot!!! 500 yards from the petrol station too
23 years of driving and I've never done that before! And I won't be doing it again! Gave the people in the petrol station a laugh anyway.
Bless the heart of the chap on the motorbike next to me at the lights though. He stopped and pushed my car off the road to safety.

Ah gibbo, when Wales were sponsored by Brains and she used to sing the Welsh anthem in the rugby shirt she was known as 'the girl with two brains' where I watch the rugby.
swanny - that's bad luck with the petrol.
And well done CJ (good on Tom Rees too)
Hopefully you can make the London drinks meet next week.

Can I say this but... I'm not enjoying this heatwave at all.
It's like when I was in Signapore and you'd just be begging for a storm to clear the air. I grated some cheese for my dinner tonight, walked out and came back five minutes later and it had practically melted.
Take me away to somewhere with ice and snow... oh yes.

I just saw a tweet by BBC NI about a water cannon being used somewhere else in Belfast and I'm thinking... I could go for that so I could. Extreme rehydration.
