Argentina vs England - 8.10pm KO
First topic message reminder :
I haven't seen a match thread for the game yet so thought I'd get one up and going, with the game on BBC hopefully plenty will be watching!
Argentina
M Bustos Moyano (Montpellier); M Orlando (Huirapuca), G Tiesi (unattached), F Contepomi (Stade Francais), M Montero (Club Pucara); B Urdapilleta (Oyonnax), M Landajo (CASI); P Henn (Brive), M Garcia Veiga (Buenos Aires C & CR), M Bustos (Montpellier), E Lozada, (Agen) M Galarza (University of La Plata), J Farias Cabello (unattached), B Macome (Tucuman), T Leonardi (Southern Kings).
Replacements: M Guidone (La Plata), G Roan (Cavalieri Prato), F Gomez Kodela (Biarritz), T Vallejos Cinalli (unattached), T De la Vega (CUBA), N Vergallo (Southern Kings), G Ascarate (Carcassonne), B Agulla (unattached).
England
M Brown (Harlequins); C Wade (Wasps), J Joseph (London Irish), B Twelvetrees (Gloucester), D Strettle (Saracens); F Burns (Gloucester), L Dickson (Northampton); J Marler (Harlequins), R Webber (Bath), D Wilson (Bath), J Launchbury (Wasps), D Attwood (Bath), T Wood (Northampton, capt), M Kvesic (Worcester), B Morgan (Gloucester).
Replacements: D Paice (London Irish), H Thomas (Sale Sharks), P Doran-Jones (Northampton), C Lawes (Northampton), B Vunipola (Wasps), R Wigglesworth (Saracens), K Eastmond (Bath), B Foden (Northampton).
Looking at the teams both sides are unsurprisingly putting out some new faces with Argentina fielding a very experimental side.
For those wanting to watch the BBC 2 coverage starts at 7.30pm with KO at 8.10pm. Hopefully we'll see a good game with some bruising forward battles up front and some skill from the backs in behind them - as an England fan I yet live in hope of the Burns, Twelvetrees and Wade rejuvenation of the backline!

Why is there a Colombian drug lord at 15?

Looks like the Welsh management want to expose as much youth to international rugby as possible. Will it be a long term benefit?
They haven't much choice have they?

Wales only have 4 other players the could have taken - Paul James, Matthew Rees, Ryan Jones and James Hook
15 away with the Lions, several injured and 4 rested

We make our players earn caps But yes, we took a pretty strong squad and most of the new players are the ones being called for for a year or so.

Complete confidence from 1-15 and complete dominance at the set-piece. Some errors creeping in, think that's just inexperience though. Keep it up England.

Well this shows what you can do when the defence gives you room to breath. Not so easy with a hoard of Welshmen in your face.

I think a black Shane Williams has been unearthed by England. Exciting times ahead.

Since Williams was a white Robinson, does that mean Wade is a black white Robinson? That is probably the back line most would like to see.

Average English 15 age= 24.6 years old (22= 24.8)
Welsh = 23.5 (23.2) so it's a bit younger, yes

Re: Argentina vs England - 8.10pm KO
Weird how we could be that far ahead and I'm still slightly disappointed! I think our accuracy at times has been poor and we've rushed things. We could be 40 points up. Still, some top work, great off-loading and running angles. Morgan makes such a difference.
I hope we thump them. I understand why they want to hold players back but I think we deserved them to play a few more first-team players

Robinson has been a shockingly poor co-commentator, however when he accused us of showboating at one point he was right. Some fance offloads that actually accomplished nothing.
Some really good stuff though as well.

It's one of Wade's best assets how quickly he makes an impact on those watching him play. He's showed his full array out there with his passing game on show as well as his pace and quick feet.

With Care, Allen, Barritt, Ashton (on form) and Tait backing them up I'd love to see that going forward!

Six Nations
2011: England winner
2012: England 2nd
2013: England 2nd
If England actually pick form players in the right positions they should have a great chance next year.

Would never had expected this score at half time to be honest.
If England keep this game going, it could well be embarrising for Argentina.

We've often treated games in the AI as warm ups for tri nation sides. So only fair, their priority is the championship.

I can see a few sides being strong next season depending on Lions injuries. Wales have broken their ups and downs with back to back championships. Ireland have a new (decent) coach. France are France (not as bad as some think).

Does Wade have a Chinese cousin? He could be the yellow black white Robinson.

It's frightening for Argentina that when Ben Morgan goes off, Billy Vunipola comes on. Ouch.

I'd be surprised if there was much difference in average ages, not many past 25 in the England team.
Dickson is awful.

Re: Argentina vs England - 8.10pm KO
England cannot afford to get lazy in the 2nd half.
Too many times teams have gone in to the lead before half time and then sat back, took their foot off the pedal and lost the game.
England cannot afford to do that.

Re: Argentina vs England - 8.10pm KO
The difference being that most of the Welsh players are not first choice for their regions
I think all the English players are first choice for their club and play regular rugby
That's the advantage of 12 teams over 4
Twelvetrees deserves a try, it's a pity

Just beat Japanese team that had played the week before. Smashing a massively weakened Argentinian team with their first game after we've had two

Wales 3rds and 4th beat Japans 1st
Englands 2nds are beating Argentina's 2nd and 3rd

Strong work from Kvesic and Morgan then idiotic work from Strettle and Marler.
Good game from Atwood once again throwing his weight around effectively.
