Debuchy is an embarrassment can't defend for ****. Look dire, not looking forward to this season now. Can't blame Cabaye for leaving. Gutierrez is appalling. This should be 5 or 6 nil tonight.

To be fair, Newcastle looked alright before they conceded that second goal. The top teams punish the tiniest of mistakes.

Newcastle look OK going forward, it's just they've been torn apart at the back a few times, and City have punished them ruthlessly, putting the game out of reach.

I seen that too, then the brief look of panic on his face after he realised what he'd said. I quite like Gary Neville, think he's a decent pundit.Fernando wrote:Neville/JC about RVP:

Think you can write this result off to be honest, it's how you do against the teams around you that will define Newcastle's season.

Haha this is shocking. Hopefully gutierrez is a long term injury. Never a red in my opinion, turning into a shambles this.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
Newcastle have had to make two changes before half-time, down to ten men, both changes have made the team less attacking.
Not a chance now, could be ugly.

Brainless from Taylor. Damage is done in this match, use your head and don't compromise future matches

Considering he was 'just a winger' when he was signed Navas has looked realky dangerous. Dzeko linking with Aguero well too

Apparently Cabaye was at the ground but has gone home with a confused head after Arsenal's bid which was sent on Sunday.

I think City always look good against lower sides, like Chelsea yesterday, best wait and see them against the big boys before judging them. I can't see Silva, Aguero and Dzeko having anywhere near the space to work with like they've had today.

Like Crimey said, this could get ugly. Wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle go down to 9 in this half.

I know it's not allowed, but it makes sense. Thrash out personal terms tonight then work out a transfer fee with Newcastle tomorrow.Fernando wrote:Well we have until midnight tomorrow to sign up a player for CL qualifying so wouldn't surprise me at all.

Well that's a save and a half by Krul.
Personally i can see him going to and id expect Newcastle do aswell so might have granted permission already like some do.

Beautiful free kick.
Come on City, don't sit back, Chelsea did that yesterday and was extremely boring.
Krul must be annoyed, pulls off a super save only for his teammates to give away a silly free kick in a shooting area.

Here's hoping it does push them in that direction, without Kompany they're not half the team but with Pepe they'll end up even worse.GSC wrote:That might be the push City need to complete the Pepe deal

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
I stand by my statement. Demel has been a consistently good performer for us, offering running all day and a good attacking threat allied with defensive solidity and part of a unit that works together.Crimey wrote:If anything that's a compliment to West Ham, Demel is an average right back even if he's not first choice. It's just an area I noticed that could be improved.Dolphin Ziggler wrote:Crimey, stop talking about West Ham. You just dont seem to know anything and its getting embarrassing now my friend.Crimey wrote:Yeah, don't think Demel is anywhere near good enough of a right back for West Ham.
On that note:
Premier League: 10 talking points from the weekend's action
Joe Cole has still got it, Arsenal need to splash their cash on a midfield stopper and Ian Holloway is back in the big time
Just posting a statement from a newspaper saying Joe Cole has still got it isn't going to change my opinion that you seriously overrate him. You shouldn't let sentimentality get in front of clear judgement. West Ham have better players and shouldn't have to start Joe Cole that often this year.
Joe Cole generally agreed gave a motm performance. It's not sentimentality, I wasn't desperate for Scotty back, and whilst I love Joey, I thought the transfer a risk at the start. But he's been brilliant, the touch, the vision and the technique don't leave a player that good. I'm not sure there's a better ball player at the club, no one with his mind for the game either. The Liverpool years need to be ignored, bad luck and bad circumstances blighted his time there. He's happy, looks fitter than he has for years (though I expect him to miss games) and as a player who never relied on pace he hasn't been troubled by that.
Even the fans who said "never go back" have changed their minds, hes catching the eye of reporters too. I'd leave it be but your argument is based on very little and searching for points that aren't hitting home.
