Re: Springbok team for Argentina this weekend.
I hope you have time, because I have put a lot of thought into that question for some time.
1. Centrally contract all professional players into five tiers.
Tier 5 age group players for U19 and U21
Tier 4 vodacom Cup players
Tier 3 Currie Cup players Division 1
Tier 2 players Currie Cup Premier division.
Tier 1 players Super Rugby.
Boks won't be contracted, squad selection will be on form only.
I will reduce Super Rugby teams to maximum four, preferably three.
Premier Currie Cup division will be 8 teams.
First division Currie Cup will be the other six teams, plus create two more teams to make it 8 teams as well.
Play Reduce Super Rugby to an 8 week (if nine teams) round robin with semi and final for a total of ten weeks.
Currie Cup to be double round robin, semi and final for a total of 16 weeks.
Super rugby teams will be selected on the basis of the three best players in each position playing for a team, then the next three will be drafted in the same manner.
Super arugby will be the manner in which performances will be measured for springbok honours.
No overseas players eligible.
I won't bother to try and stop players to leave, they just don't get to represent their country if they don't play domestically.
I will then get the top 48 coaches or so into an ndaba to discuss a new way forward for SA rugby as a whole. With specialists in each area of rugby to analyse the scrum, line out, breakdown, defence, attack, tactical kicking, maul etc etc.
I will get an analysis done on the top three players in each position world wide to test their reflections, perefiral vision, hand eye coordination, speed, agility, spacial recognition etc. etc. and provide a battery test that can be used for all positions to test domestic players to compare their abilities.
Nick Mallett will be appointed as my national coach with John Mitchell as his assistant.
He will be appointed for two world cup cycles, the goal will be to have an eight year cycle to build a world cup winning squad, so we will target realistically to rebuild every 8 years to win the cup.
There is a lot more I can tell you, but it is longwinded as I haven't even touched on development etc.

Re: Springbok team for Argentina this weekend.
I echo what every other ulster fan has said. Send him back and stop bloody picking him. The lad has played rugby without a break for god knows how many YEARS and people jump on him down there.
That's their opinion then fine. Hopefully this will mean we can secure his next contract without all these bloody interruptions
