Away at Old Trafford next (potential to spring an upset), before playing Fulham (H), Stoke (A), and Hull (H). That indicates that they could stay there for a while yet!NickisBHAFC wrote:Southampton 2-0 Swansea.
Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriquez with the goals. There up to 4th now

It's a top half side certainly.

They have made a lot of progression, full credit to them. I still hate them though and want them to self destruct. I think they have a superb manager.

Spent £30m, you'd expect progression. Still early days, couple of defeats & back to midtable.

West Brom bossing this, but Anelka looks too ineffective upfront on his own.

Argh so annoying to lose that we more than deserved a point there, good performance and nice to see us go for it for once.
Thought we should've had a penalty on Pilks. Ref was abysmal all game shocking.
Best game RVW has had so far. Coming into the game a lot more now, starting to gel going forward. By contrast thought Hooper did eff all when he was on.
Unlucky not to get something but plenty of positives to take.
Worst game I've seen Ruddy have since we've been back in the Prem today. Unlike him

It was never a penalty mate. But i do agree the ref was rubbish for both sides.Olly wrote:Argh so annoying to lose that we more than deserved a point there, good performance and nice to see us go for it for once.

I'll have to see it again but I thought it looked it live. Anyways Swarbrick is by far the worst ref in this division never seems like he has control of the game.
Redmond's best used like that off the bench. Our midfield three of Tettey, Fer and Howson is the one for us. Great balance to it

YES YACOB!
What a header, keeper no chance. Well deserved goal for West Brom.

Agreed Mysti, that lunge then was just stupid and not needed. Dirty.
Is Ozil even playing? He has done nothing.
Arsenal have been the best side in the prem this season without question, but this first half they have looked like a poor side.

We're playing a little better than Spurs, I don't understand how. Two very good chances wasted. We'll be made to pay.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
Arsenal didn't really deserve that goal, none the less Whilshire did connect well with it, and it did take a big deflection.
Huge miss from Anelka earlier in the half was always going to bite them.
Tottenham 0-1 West Ham.

Wilshere was awful first half, so overrated - never world class. Same old Spurs, hopefully people won't get carried away. Arsenal don't look great either, giroud is average at best. Still city or Chelsea for me

Very stupid Mulumbu diving in like that, but he did win the ball so 100% no penalty. But still very risky doing that.

I was hearing spurs were the real deal at HT last week against Chelsea. Reality hits. I've heard Liverpool were title challengers, they lost to Southampton. I've heard Arsenal are now the ones to beat, their struggling to beat WBA. Theme going on. City/Chelsea squads will prevail in the marathon, not sprint. #dontgetcarriedaway

arsenal, chelsea and citeh are the real deal john. anyone stating that liverpool or tottenham would seriously contend where being overly optimistic.
But Arsernal will contend imo

See i can't understand how that isn't a penalty? Koscielny has got nothing of the ball and just shoved Long to the floor, is there some sort of law in the game? Ref's should clamp down on this more.

He wasn't even going for te ball, he's just barged into him to stop him going for it.
Arsenal fortunate to get a point really.

Just seen the results, pretty standard weekend for once.. Arsenal still on top, but Chelsea have that Mourinho-ism about them that gets teams to win... Think 85pts wins this year.

Jussi, demel, rat, tomkins, noble, diame - all came for no fee (or academy). Vaz Te and Morrison cost £500k a piece. Downing and Nolan around £5m each, Reid £2.5m.
