Got the win, defence kept it close (not in the good way), but made the plays when it needed to. Offence is looking good again (although Dobson and Thompkins both hurt we are very very short at WR, despite having EDELTRON)

Bradley doing a good job there this year, certainly something to build on. Just stop winning games so you can get a good QB in the draft Jacksonville!!!!!

So pee'd off about this and J Thomas, as I was out all day coaching (we lost, just to rub it in) and didn't get home until 6:50. I know teams often keep injury announcements until game time for a number of reasons, but it sure screws up FFL!mikeygnfl wrote:Andre Ellington is inactive for the Cardinals.

Redskins....
This is a team that isn't going to win anymore games this season, which means that in addition to creating the biggest negative regular season headlines this year, they are also in the process of creating the biggest negative offseason storyline because they're going to be handing the number 1 pick in the draft over to the Rams. I mean, this is just the hardest to support team in the league - they just keep finding new ways of embarrassing themselves. I think losing the number 1 pick like that would be a new low though. You have to wonder if that would be too much for Snyder to bear and if that would be the final nail in Shanahan's coffin.

So with Denver winning yesterday, it probably means the AFC will have to go through Mile High again this year. Same will probably apply if Seattle beat New Orleans tonight in NFC and Centurylink
Think we'll be on for another Manning-Brady showdown in the AFC title game

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread IV
I'm not saying it would have changed the result, given the next play, but last nights officiating fiasco gives me cause to ponder. If the officials think (or even know) they have screwed up the call, should they call an official time out to sort it out with each other or he coaches as appropriate? We seem to end up with an officiating screw up at least once a year that a simple time out and time to talk would avoid, instead of a rushed decision that becomes a topic of the media the day after.
Oh, and I don't think Shanahan will be fired, but he will likely be told to earn the contract extension next year, not be given one this year. If he screws up then I think Snyder will tell Allen to fire him. I think the owner is fed up of paying two HC salaries a year after the last few busts.

Haha, looks like NFL.com suffers the same proofreading issues as the BBC:

Its not just proof reading... the NFL website is just generally a shambles nowadays... its so so slow compared to literally any other website I open since they fill it with flash stuff and autoplaying videos!

So true Dave. So true. The autoplaying videos are so irritating. If I wanna watch it I'll play it. The new gamecenter set up for mobile devices is useless. Even if it worked fine, the new content would add nothing to the previous version. It's pretty much unusable.crazy_dave23 wrote:Its not just proof reading... the NFL website is just generally a shambles nowadays... its so so slow compared to literally any other website I open since they fill it with flash stuff and autoplaying videos!
And then there's the dreadful standard of the reporting....

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread IV
literally I can be watching a stream (of anything be it Iplayer, You tube or even NFL Gamepass) and if I open any other website in a secondary window you don't notice... I can probably get about 10+ windows of something like the BBC without the stream batting an eyelid...
But if it's NFL.com, my stream will stutter just on opening the homepage as a single tab!

There's not much that the RG3 obsessed media hasn't written about him this season but I bet he (and Mrs Griffin III) were still a bit surprised when they saw this one....

Two huge Panthers vs Saints games coming up in the next three weeks.
I also think Josh Gordon deserves a massive mention on here for.becoming the first player to have two successive games with over 200 yards receiving. He has now had 600 yards in his last three games and that is with Campbell and Weeden at QB. Imagine what he'd be like with a decent QB?

I was kind of hoping he would be traded to a team with a QB when there were rumours, the guy has so much talent.
Just needs to stay out of trouble off the field, if they get a half decent QB in the draft he will do damage next year

Puts a lot of teams in a sticky spot, likes of Tampa, Cleveland, Jags...Houston if they get the #1 pick could hold someone to ransom, same with Atlanta.
This is of course if Bridgewater declares, which he hasn't yet...
