I'll give mine after Stevenson-Bellow. A win for Superman and he gets to be in the top five

Sensible idea - think that's probably the last major fight of this year? Other than Broner vs. Maidana.kingraf wrote:I'll give mine after Stevenson-Bellow. A win for Superman and he gets to be in the top five

Really King?? A win over Bellew, only a world title challenger, never beaten anyone of note, propels a fighter into top 5 of a P4P list. Not sure a win over Bellew proves anymore than what we already know about him. Cloub and Dawson were 10x better wins than a potential Bellew win.
Re: 2013 606v2 Top 15 Pound for Pound Rankings (please submit VOTES)
It's not so much winning over Bellow as much as it is not losing to Bellow, Reborn. I.e he is a top 5, imo, and a top 5 shouldn't lose (or draw) to Bellow,

Oh I get you now.
Nah, not quite for me yet. He has only really announced himself as p4p material with the Dawson win. But the Cloud one didn't really say much to me personally as Cloud was a sitting duck after robbing Gabriel Campillo in one of the worst decisions Iv ever seen in my life.
Another win over Hopkins or Kolalev I reckon he sits in the position you are talking about. But its a bit early I think.

Maybe, but take them out and you are only left with fighters who should be nowhere near top 15.catchweight wrote:Broner, Hopkins and Klitschko are being hugely overrated
Its a doozey alright.
Re: 2013 606v2 Top 15 Pound for Pound Rankings (please submit VOTES)
Hopkins probably isnt overrated, But I do find it odd how he always seems to appear on these lists when he is probably #3-4 in his division, and yet the 2-3 guys ahead of him can't get a look.

Broner has only got an #8, an #11 and a #10. Not sure that's massive over-rating. Hoppo a #10 and two #15s, so again, slightly hard to see how that's massive over-rating.catchweight wrote:Broner, Hopkins and Klitschko are being hugely overrated
Wlad is a very tough one. Almost no great opposition but equally he barely ever drops a round even and has totally dominated his division for the best part of a decade. Struggle to see how he's not top10 at least.

I cant understand how Hopkins can rank above Stevenson on current form. Whats he done in the last three or four years? Points wins over two boxers that were knocked out by Cleverly and Stevenson and lost to Dawson. Hes living off reputation now.
I dont get how Klitschko can be rated above fighters like Rigondeaux, Bradley or Pacquiao unless its in a head to head match. Nowhere near as good a fighter.
Broner? He could barely beat Malignaggi.

Klitschko did beat Haye and Povetkin is his last few fights. Considered top wins in his weight division.catchweight wrote:I cant understand how Hopkins can rank above Stevenson on current form. Kltischko followed Haye around the ring dutifully and wrestled Tubby T1ts out of the ring. Hardly the equal of the likes of results and performances Rigondeaux, Bradley, Marquez and Pacquiao have managed. Calling Klitschko one of the top 5 or 6 fighters in the world is way off the mark unless it means actually head to head in a boxing match.

If that's your interpretation of a P4P ranking, then that's fine.catchweight wrote:Kltischko followed Haye around the ring dutifully and wrestled Tubby T1ts out of the ring. But as I said above, put down your top 15 - will be interesting to see how you've ranked them? Believe me, it will impact the overall results.

It is, but it is a mythical/ disputable subject. Hence, why a voting system is used to ascertain the overall result.catchweight wrote:How are you supposed to interpret these lists? Is it not supposed to be who you think the 15 best fighters in the world is?
Try posting a top 15, it's not as easy as you think. There are many subjectivities- the only two I'm reasonably confident on is the top 2!

I know he has some obscure views on some aspects..........but that list made me choke on my coffee and nearly fall off my chair..........proper cheered me up. Especially considering the Wladamir beef in the posts further up the thread.......then BANG........his list pops up with Wlad at 1!!! Class.
haha
I put Wladimir as number 1 because he has been untouchable at HW for the best part of 10 years, easily beating his two biggest rivals in Haye and Povetkin who couldn't land anything meaningful on him the whole fight.

Unfair technicality maybe, but actually he's never fought his biggest rival.Champagne_Socialist wrote:hahamobilemaster8 wrote:Not on this level though Toppy! ha!TopHat24/7 wrote:You not met C_S on the boxing boards before......??mobilemaster8 wrote:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!Champagne_Socialist wrote:1 Wladimir Klitschko.

Also, 10 years ago he was getting flattened by Sanders and Brewster, defeats he failed to avenge.

So if we were doing this list in 2003 then Wlad would not be my #1 but we are doing this list at the end of 2013

Didn't Stevenson only beat a fighter who was coming off the back of a KO to Andre Snored and got shown up by a nearly 50 year old man?catchweight wrote:I cant understand how Hopkins can rank above Stevenson on current form.
