Surprised this story didn't get on here sooner. It's been a couple of days. That's why I posted the picture above.

Tbh Ben got 4 iirc just for being accused.
If there's a video if be surprised if Rice plays in the first half of the year.
It's ok though, they have a 120.6m QB

The story I've heard the most is that his fiancé spat at him during an argument and then he knocked her out.

I'm sure that will play well in Goodells office

Also, Bucs getting new jerseys after updating their logo. http://www.buccaneers.com/news/article-smith/Bucs-Unveil-Enhanced-Logo-and-Helmet/744d6357-fe9f-4ecd-bda4-2dc05ff0f2d3
And don't know if anyone's seen this yet but there's a youtube series by two fans called Tailgate32. They tailgated all 32 teams during the 2012 season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLO7gCpW5lQ&feature=share&list=PLA41D72FECDA1002A

Despite it being an unsavoury topic I did laugh at this comment:
"Hey diddle diddle, Ray Rice up the middle.....of your jaw."

I don't think Manziel has to run everywhere in the NFL. I think he will succeed as a passer rather than a running QB.Lowlandbrit wrote:I'd be nervous about Manziel that high. I can see him having a great first season, but I can't see him lasting long playing the way he does.

Some combine QB measurements starting to come through (height, weight, hand size):

Manziel: 5'11 3/4, 207, 9 7/8
Bortles: 6'5, 232, 9 3/8

And now PFT is saying the Browns almost traded for Jim Harbaugh.

Same as the Texas rumours. Harbaugh wants Carroll/Jim H money, York doesn't want to pay him it

Also said that Harbaughs a pain in the ass to deal with and he and Baalke don't get on. Though if it came down to Baalke and Harbaugh, that's not too difficult

It's pretty much what every teams said. Every Owner and HC will have their PR orders on the subject. His limitations as a player will have more of a bearing where he's drafted.

I know, but the other teams have done a better job of saying "No way, we're getting into the media circus of drafting the first gay guy".
Just made me laugh seeing the usually super bland Giants getting all muddled up.

I would have thought California/ West Coast or New York would have been the best landing spots for Michael Sam.Number-25 wrote:Beautiful squirming by the Giants on the question of drafting Michael Sam.... Yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah but no.......

Michael Vick is being linked with a move to the New York Jets. Pitta and the Ravens are in talks for a new contract. The Cardinals and Dolphins have both shown an interest in Branden Albert. Brent Grimes is optimist about re-signing with the Dolphins

As I said before there's clearly tension between the 49ers and Harbaugh.
Does seem he's somewhat of a mini Schiano, and rubs people the wrong way. May well be his last season in SF

Now the Dolphins LS and NFLPA rep has come out and said that Wells overblew any actions in the locker room towards Martin.
Pretty much underlines why Martins done in Miami, the locker room is pretty united against him now.

Jason Peters gets a 5 year deal. Well deserved, fully expect him to retake his spot as the best LT in the league 2 years removed from his achilles injury. Kelce up next to get paid, then we'll have 4/5 of one of the best OLs locked up long term. Expect we'd be heavily scouting replacements for Herremans in the later rounds

"I disagree with the ban on racial slurs, because, being a racist myself, it will severely impact on my freedom of speech. And if you disagree with me I will fight all the n****** up in here."

How about the Cleveland Browns? They could draft Teddy Bridgewater then give up their second 1st rounder plus next year's. Bridgewater to Gordon, Cameron and Graham?Olly wrote:Saints put the non exclusive tag on Graham.

They look a bit like the Pro Bowl uniforms they made, to me. I preferred the old school look, but I can see maybe Nike looking to phase that out and go for the sharper and more modern designs like these and Seattle's.
Lucky for me they can't really do much to the Raiders. It's just black...

Some player news. Peyton Manning has passed his physical and is fully fit for 2014. Anquin Boldin says 'he is returning to the 49ers' next year. Orakpo receives the Redskins franchise tag. Kaepernick wants more money than Jay Culter. Brent Grimes re-signs for the Dolphins on a 4 year deal.

Bills won't tag Jairus Byrd
Cleveland use transition tag on Mack, so Ward hits the market, Byrd will end up there one would imagine
Raiders not using tag on Houston, no contact with Veldeer

Tagging Orakpo makes sense. Stops him hitting the market and buys them time to thrash out a deal with him. With his injury history he really needs the security of a long term deal. With all the holes in the roster, the Redskins need a more cap friendly deal. They'll find a compromise somewhere along the line that keeps him a Redskin for a while yet.
