The Culture Cup round 6
First topic message reminder :
I'm not really a London person. Occasionally Putney or Clapham to see mates or Lords for the cricket.
If Georgian food is anything like Estonian fayre I may give it a miss.
Galted wrote:seanmichaels wrote:Galted wrote:Decided to treat myself to a 3-piece variety meal but the Wrap-It-Up is between work & the KFC so you can probably imagine what happened.
Your Hi-Techs started to squeek?
Probably but I was too hungry to notice. Almost broke into a run as I approached the Wrap-It-Up.
Have you ever been to Tamada by the way? Georgian restaurant off Abbey Road. Went there for my birthday and found no reason to complain.

This is not a Carry On film lads, we're better than that. Would hate to see the standards we all strive for on here dragged down so close to our second automatic lock on round 6.

No Julius, despite you be being forgetful and smelling of cabbage, I actually enjoy some of your 606v2 input as well.

Thank you - that's made my day. Especially the 'smelling of cabbage' compliment.

Looks like the thread went a bit mental over the weekend, wish I'd known as it would have meant a lot to me to be involved.

Saw some Jack Wolfskin in Cambridge over the weekend. Old lady wearing a red coat, proudly displaying the words on the left of her collar. There was an embroidered paw print on t'other side. Do they all have that? She looked warm.
I bought some new shoes but didn't wear them in yesterday. My feet are killing me this morning.

They do. I wear the paw on my collar, proudly I might add.
Wish I could've have seen you with shoes on, watching a Man of the North trying to wear shoes must be similar to watching a dog or cat trying to walk with socks on their paws.

The paw print thing is a bit weird.
I usually just wear some rudimentary sandals fashioned out of goat skin that I have soaked in vinegar. Thought I have been down here long enough to start making an effort though.

normally when i throw out trainers/shoes, they are that old and worn as to be almost sentient.
They make their own way back from the bins half the time.
Turns out shoes have souls...

THe paw's ok, it's the writing bit I find annoying. Not nearly as bad as the jackets with Superdry emblazoned on them along with some Japanese lettering underneath, a bit invasive.

I, for example, learnt today that my Barista can draw a man sausage on my coffee, not sure how to take that to be honest :s

I do that when I make the missus a coffee. Nothing beats a well positioned Johnson drawing. Managed a fairly detailed one on the niece's etch-a-sketch at the weekend.

It is my new word of the week. Bit early really.
Was hoping to make it to Wednesday at least before my lack of a good vocabulary was shown up.

If he managed to draw a c*ck on a small girls etch a sketch board I am guessing he is still in possession of both mitts.

Yes they survived. I opted for a self assembly kit in the end which didn't require any cutting. Looks lovely with the blue / black paint job. Birds are just sitting in the trees staring at it though.
