Salah has the third highest "win back" ratio in the champions league, will be perfect for the system.
As I said yesterday Mata is a luxury player who does very little for 75%+ of the game

Well most of our players do nothing for 90 minutes to that's a vast improvement.

He`s worth £20m currently, in six months he`ll be closer to the end of his deal, older & potentially not in demand. What good are we doing holding onto him for six months? We can't get top 4 n can't get relegated. We need to sell n think about long term investment. The majority I've spoken to agree. Yeah, hes a great player but use your brain n think about £20m n what we can do with it in the future.
Let me guess you disagree n call me a kumquat
You're typical of the modern day football fan who tries to think how he would run the club, but in reality you probably struggle to boil a kettle.
Football is littered with players who say they are going to leave, then don't. Rooney, Suarez, Tiote, Colo. in reality their agents are trying to get them a few extra quid a people like you are suckered in.

Everyone agreed with me Lumbering on the matter. You know nothing about Newcastle united or thinking about the clubs best interests.
Great stat gregers on salah `win back` percentage, just emphasises again the reason for Mata`s departure & how salah will fit in perfectly. If your not all rowing in the same direction, difficult to achieve the goals set out.

Well if 3 people on a forum agree with you then you must be right.
Having had a season ticket since I was 16 and attended around 150 away games, I think I'll disregard your opinion for those who I respect. Namely those who have loyally followed the club for years and don't believe what they read in the daily mail.
Now get back to watching Newcastle on the TV and reading news now for some groundbreaking stories.

We could be signing Jean Marie Dongou on loan. 18 year old Barcelona forward.
Lambert watched him in the Next Gen series.
Come off the bench a few times this season.

Embarrasing. I've followed NUFC since the early 90's & attended well over 100 games over that period. I don't come from Newcastle, therefore, I can't really have a season ticket every season as the games would be difficult to get to. For someone, who has followed NUFC for so many years, I'm thoroghly surprised at how little you know about the club, it's players & the way the club deals in the transfer market & it's policy under Ashley. We buy cheap & then sell when the player has maximised it's potential & price. It's a cycle, that appears to be working. The fact you can't see or understand this is baffling, especially with Cabaye.
Your posts are pathetic & pointless. You just try to antagonise people with your comments & the fact everyone on here agrees with me, backs that point up. I feel sorry for the supporters that sit next to you week in, week out.

Strange that you say our current methods work yet just 2 weeks ago you were blabbering on about our season being over.
Stop changing your argument.

Exactly. Lumbering can bring up the fact he's a season ticket holder, however, the fact Lumbering doesn't understand the way Ashley runs the football club & our transfer policy says it all really.
Ent - Having seen Carrick's injury (4 weeks maybe), you think Moyes will go for a centre midfielder this window or will he wait until the summer. I think that's the issue now, can United get the side they need out on the pitch to get that top 4.

you are both Newcastle fans. You have slightly different views. I think both are valid..
There is allways debate about wanting to hold on to players over selling them. Yes Newcastle are not a Chelsea or Man citeh but they also are not A palace or a Hull either!

Re: January Transfer Window 2014
I think selling Cabaye for a big offer would be good business all round. Realistically, Newcastle have had him at his peak and can sell him for a big profit to get a younger midfielder in, like Cabella (Think that's his last name, Remy is his first anyway) who will hopefully do a similar job to Cabaye.
With Carrick out for Utd, I don't see why we don't go in for him other than Ashley may try and demand an over the top price because of who we are. However, Cabaye for now then hopefully a deal for Gundongen/Vidal in the summer would be superb. With Mata seemingly on his way, we can attract big names with CL football with someone like him signing for us. People will want to play with Mata, and that's including Rooney and RVP who will hopefully commit their futures to the club as a result of this sort of signing.

Re: January Transfer Window 2014
This geezer above is a joke.
Everyone on here disagreed with you, therefore, you don't understand our policy & how Ashley runs the club. That's quite simple to understand.
Look, I'm happy for Cabaye to stay because he's a great player. Yet, if we keep him for six months until the summer, when he's admitted he wants to move on, we would have let him get six months older, let him run down his contract even further & therefore reduced the amount of money we could get from his potential sale. We could sell now for the reported £20m+ fee or, we could let his contract run down, let him get possibly injured & then in 12 months time, we would barely get £10m for a 29 year old, pushing 30.
I'm not trying to run the club, I'm just stating, in my opinion, what would probably be best for the club in the long term financially & then it would allow us the opportunity to build a new team. We are going to lose Ameobi in the summer, possibly Remy, Marveaux, Ben Arfa, Coloccini & we still need to fund bringing in Remy Cabella. We need to build a squad, not centre our whole future on a 28 year old, who doesn't want to commit to the club. That's brainless. Let me guess, you've thought about none of that.

Completely agree John, I do see Lumbering's point as you will be selling your best player, but it's good business all round and will fund the strengthening and replacing of players the squad will need in the summer as you say.

You keep trotting out that I don't understand Ashley, yes I do.
You're full of contradictions... On the one hand blabbering about our season being over, then next wanting to sell out best player.
Suarez wanted to leave Liverpool. Look how that worked out.
Stick to being a plastic fan. Trying to understand how a club in run is beyond you.

On a side note, West Ham are supposedly in for Marco 'more clubs that Tiger Woods' Borriello.
Decent player, probably the right physical profile we need. Probably not going to save our season though.

I think if West Ham get Noccerino i would be a good buy, always quite liked him, good technically anyway. Haven't seen Borriello for quite a few years now. I remember he had a decent run of scoring for Milan I believe but haven't heard much about him since. Either way, West Ham need a change in momentum and quick.

Nocerino is good, energy in the midfield will be welcome. Hopefully it means Nolan gets dropped and we can get Noble, Nocerino and Morrison in there.
Borriello is someone who always seems to do ok, but never quite makes it at the big clubs. He's had decent seasons at Milan and Roma before but it's all fits and starts really. Still, he's better than what we have. Which is Carlton Cole and Andy Glass Feet.

I think your midfield may lack a bit of physical presence with noble/noccerino/morrison. Surely Diame has to play with one of the 3 missing out? or do you think you could accommodate all 3?

Diame has basically been crap all year. Noble is the one that puts himself around and wins the ball back and if we get Nocerino I think there is enough bite in that pair to allow Morrison to go forward.

Thinking about it Slaha would be ideal at Westham.
He would allow morrision that freer role.
Is nocerino that sort of player?

Re: January Transfer Window 2014
I would like someone who is comfortable to sit in with Noble, do some of the deep work with him but either can break forward. Diame hasnt done enough of that for a long time, lazy swine lately. Wants a pay increase or he wants out, id happily take the former if his attitude remains. Injured anyway.
It doesnt matter, Sam will play Nolan over Ravel. In theory, Nocerino and Noble behind Ravel is a wonderful midfield. Two very good passers of the ball who can pick it out and know when to play. Should give a platform for the wingers and Rav (likely Nolan) to work off.
Considering I would pick Matt Taylor over Diame on current form, you can see we need some quality.
Borriello is great for me. Our need is a striker who can score goals from the bench or if Carroll isnt playing. We're not exactly going to get someone amazing for second choice, especially with our predicament. So, Borriello would be standout for the market we're in.
Now a defender, I hope they stay on Lescott's case. I would love a nippy striker too but we wont use him and we wont get one so I ignore that.

Gianluca Di Marzio @dimarzio 1m
And @borriellomarco1 is a new @whufc_official player: he just signed the contract on loan from @OfficialASRoma, tomorrow medical test
Nocerino has also posted a picture of his flight ticket to London and Di Marzio is still convinced its on.
Not sure how this is happening, but we now have a better looking striker than Giroud and an Italian midfielder with a cool beard

Michael Essien is moving to AC Milan, would could lead Nigel De Jong moving to Liverpool. Not clear if Essien has left on loan or permanently. He needs to leave Chelsea if he wants any chance of reviving his career at the top level, he's only 31 yet because of injuries and lack of play time it seems he's more like he's 35.
