The Culture Cup round 6
First topic message reminder :
Happily, the first Spice Girls Single not to go to Number 1 was Stop, it was kept off top spot by Run DMC vs Jason Nevins - It's Like That.
seanmichaels wrote:Rowley wrote:seanmichaels wrote:Rowley wrote:JuliusHMarx wrote:I think I'll upset Jeff now and say that Blackberry Way is a better song than Waterloo Sunset.
Why would the fact you're a moron upset me?
As an aside though another Move song, Flowers in the Rain was the first song ever played on Radio One.
That could and should have been posted on me remarkably unpopular Music anecdotes thread....
Sean, if the thread had been called useless music trivia it almost certainly would have been. I have any number of such facts I could amaze you good people with.
Hit me.

I also admire the relaxed technique that Silje Norendal employs on the pistes.

Flipping heck, she is beautiful.
If Galted is reading this, he will have got a little chubby on. Not because of Ms Norendal, but more the rugged and practical coat she is sporting.

Possibly, Tino, though my throat is very sore so I'll probably go home once I've had a delicious chicken burrito. Thanks for noticing my absence on Friday, and apologies for me not noticing that it was you who noticed.

That's ok. A weaker man than me might have been upset but I got through it.
Were you off sick yesterday then? Or are you competing in the winter Olympics?

I was in Copenhagen for the weekend. I'm not competing in the winter Olympics but I did watch a bit on tv. I saw an interview with 3 Canadian sisters who came 1st, 2nd and 12th. And an interview with some American snowboarding ret@rd.
I had a look through this thread when I got back and I did laugh a lot, the Culture Cup round 6 is far funnier than anything on tv.

It was an opening gambit Tina, was hoping for someone to ask the circumstances etc. Does not do to give too much away too early.

Good, because it is not particularly interesting. However I was en route to Sweden where I stayed in a place called Bastad, which is vaguely amusing.

Glad you asked Galted. The circumstances are a little weird. My mother sold a Rottweiler to a Swedish couple who stayed with us a few days when picking up the dog. I agreed to take them shopping round Sheffield and generally show them the sights. Dazzled by my rakish charm and interesting conversational skills they asked me to visit them at home in appreciation of my kindness. I agreed and went over for a couple of weeks.

We have got the Olympics on at the moment. They are doing some crazy skiing sh*t where they go down rails and ski backwards whilst flying off jumps. It's not real skiing, it is skateboarding on snow. Its b*llocks.
The women are staggering attractive though.

It is called slopestyle Windows. The men's and women's snowboard slopestyle was at the weekend. Very entertaining but the judging is as consistent and reliable as the BBBoC's.

Someone called Anna Segal was just on. She is quite nice but not even in the top 10 lookers I have seen this morning.
Standard is high.
