He lacks pace and mobility which for me are essential in the premiership.

I think a bite can be instinct. All you have to do is have had that action as natural as a child and never got past it.

Yep I agree with this. Clearly when Suarez gets frustrated or angry he lashes out but not by punching or elbowing but by biting. It seems that is Suarez's reaction to frustration.

Biting is a horrible thing to do don't get me wrong but it does appear that Suarez does it as a natural reaction just like some players elbow or headbutt or punch.

My opinion is that the bite was wrong of course but the bite he gave to chiellini was not as bad as some elbows or headbutts that I have witnessed or some very dangerous 2 footed jumping tackles that were aimed at hitting the player.

A 4 month ban is sufficient as it is the 3rd time he has committed the same offence and it is an off the ball offence.

I agree that there are other plays, maliciously dangerous ones, that should be treated as seriously.  Undoubtedly.  But that's not for me to do but the authorities.  I also agree that overall the punishment for Suarez seems reasonable to me.  But I don't agree that his repeat biting offences should be defended in terms of someone saying "Yeah, but sure other things happen on the field that don't get so much publicity"

The topic for now is a player repeat offending in the biting department.  That's the issue.  How serious it is, how it needs to be stamped out, how fame and fortune and footballing ability (or the needs of a Professional club!) shouldn't preclude Suarez from being punished for it.  And yes, the more often the offence, the more serious should be the punishment.  My view is he's had his chances now.  He's used up all his cards.  Next time he bites it should be a lifetime ban.
