Rio de Janiero - 2014 Fifa World Cup Thread
First topic message reminder :
Belgium have not impressed me at all, lack cohesion. I think that under Klinsmann, the USA are tactically superior and will pick Belgium on a counter attack.

Belgium should be winning. Witsel and De Bruyne are having a field day in the middle

I still think that the USA will win this even though Belgium have looked better. Just feel that the USA will have more in reserve and wont mind going into extra time.

Just tuned in (was getting tired of seeing no goals before the 2H) but that does look like Nigeria-france all over again?

America dropping far too deep and are just inviting Belgium to put pressure on them.

Yes, but without the same amount of chances.
Belgium starting to turn the screw now, though.

Has there been a more disappointing player this world cup than De bruyne?

That's why Mourinho sold him.
Yaya was pretty shocking, Lukaku too.
This side of the draw really is poor. Argentina/Belgium are so average.

This game had 0-0 written all over it since minute one. Poor and boring game.

USA already look a bit cream crackered. I have my doubts that they could last until penalties, if need be.

I still hope that the USA win this but on the other hand, Belgium would be more of a match for Argentina and would certainly at least equal favourites in that match up.

One thing this worldcup hasnt been short of is class goalkeeping! Trying to find an explanation why 90% of the knockout goals have been scored after the hour mark.

And that's the game for Belgium.
Brave effort by USA, but Belgium with just that bit extra in class and quality.
