First topic message reminder :

Sunderland are apparently on for will Buckley again this weekend. Another one from Brighton.

Also after Nacer Chadli from spurs and Jonas from Valencia - along with still trying to persuade fabio borini.

United favorite for Falcao apparently, though those odds are only for a permanant deal.

God knows why.

I wonder if the club are throwing every single egg they have into the top 4 basket. If it works and Utd get into the CL then they won't be hit by FFP but if they don't then.....

If they don't get qualify for Europe they won't be subject to FFP. And I doubt they'd care about being barred from the Europa League.

Anyway UEFA would bend over backwards to get United into the Europa League given they gave a CL place to make it relevant.

FFP doesn't apply to PL clubs unless they agree to it

FL clubs did for some reason, and now the majority are willing to bend over and take it from parachute payment clubs to prove some stupid moral point about spending within your means.

Can't work out at all why Real Madrid wouldn't sign Falcao rather than Hernandez, seems such an odd way for it to go.

Would Falcao be a bench player at Real Madrid? I expected a rotation role with Benzema, and Falcao inevitably winning the place for the big games. Also Falcao would then be more likely to sign permanently.

What's really annoying is Liverpool couldn't get this deal done because Falcao was just waiting for Real Madrid and now he's going to end up at Manchester United.

The French league just became a lot less interesting.

Falcao will flop in the Prem (a real league). 11 goals in 20 Ligue 1 games. He had his best year in 11-12.

Can't understand why City seem so eager to get rid of Negredo, I know he didn't perform as well as he did in the first half of the season as he did in the second but with Aguero's injury problems, Jovetic still being unproven across a whole season and Dzeko's inconsistent form it's a surprise that Negredo is being sold.

There hasn't been any confirmation from either club, also he seemed to be on 300k per week at Monaco Rolling Eyes I doubt he wants to go to manchester from monaco however the agent has full power over him.

One of the best goals per game record in Europe, scored an excellent return in 3 different leagues he's been in and a player that looks ideally suited for the Premier League. Not someone that thought Costa would be a flop as I had him down for top scorer in the league this season but Falcao is top drawer too.

How does Falcao improve United massively? Di Maria granted although I have my question marks on that one related to team shape and system.

Falcao is quality, but hes adding to a logjam United haven't solved. They already struggle to get the best of Rooney, RVP and Mata when they play together.

So while as good as Falcao is, I can't say he'd improve United massively, whereas somebody to reinforce the midfield would or a commanding CB to marshal the defense.

Holtby off to Hamburg...Spurs wasted his talent.

Also think Sandro is too good for QPR, and in fact would be a decent option for Man United.

Defoe desperate for Premier League football. About 15 clubs in the league should be interested

Well we have the money and have been after vidal all summer.

Madrid made di Maria available and we paid what they asked.

Falcao had been linked with a move all summer to various clubs, I'm not aware of mona is financial situation but they've also let james go to Madrid - haven't they lost their tax haven status?

Good signings, expensive signings, big names but not the same as getting them from clubs who don't want to sell.
