Summer Transfer Window
First topic message reminder :
Sunderland are apparently on for will Buckley again this weekend. Another one from Brighton.
Also after Nacer Chadli from spurs and Jonas from Valencia - along with still trying to persuade fabio borini.

Also it is used against more leagues than Dutch;
Players coming from Italy have struggled to adapt to Premier League; Veron, Osvaldo, Aquillana, Lamela, Emmanuelson, Shevchenko, but to name a few.
Again the trend bucks at times; Ravenelli, Zola, Henry ...however by and large it is a league which has seen players struggle to adapt to the pace and physicality of Premiership.

Re: Summer Transfer Window
Chelsea play at a slower "italian" pace which is testament to hardly scoring in first half but coming on stronger in the final 25-30. Remy seems to be going there too, I bet he won't get a look in.

Jose will turn him into Torres afraid to let his boot fly. A big team shouldn't go for Blevelstrikers.CFCNick wrote:Loic Remy a steal at £8m. Happy with that. French speaking players do well at Chelsea.

When a player comes to the Premier League from Serie A when do you ever hear someone say, ooh not sure on them they may be the next Rolando Bianchi or Corrado Grabbi.
As soon though as a player from the Eredivisie moves then it's a role call of every poor player that ever moved from that league.

Can probably add his name to "Once you leave Arsenal it goes down the crapper" list. Good signing for you though can play DM when Winston leaves and Kouyate goes CBDolphin Ziggler wrote:I'd agree ^

Dolph's Twitter clearly
Apparently Arsenal trying to hijack Chelsea's move for Remy. Sit on the bench and collect a pay cheque or play is his decision seemingly.

Re: Summer Transfer Window
Well, Olly I accept, but Nick?!
But it was on his feed wasnt it? I don't think Falcao's story of this window is over just yet.
Remy should go to Arsenal. He'd be a part of a squad there, not just a fixture on the bench.

Reports out of Turin, and Vidal's agent, suggesting the player will join Manchester United on Monday for Juventus' full asking price(€47m or £47). The Hernandez loan is hinging on the Vidal move.

Plaza
Interesting to see what % of wages Sunderland will pay during that loan. Sunderland were after Van Dijk, wouldn't surprise me to see us signing him now instead, if we off-load Yanga-Mbiwa.
If that's true about Vidal, then it's a great signing. Di Maria, Vidal, Blind, Rojo, Herrera & Shaw to add to De Gea, Carrick, Mata, RVP & Rooney. LVG can have no excuses now, that's a seriously good crop of players. Needs to sort the system out, quit complaining about injuries & start getting results.

I'd take gerrys rumours with a pinch of salt.
Vidal has signed 5 times already according to the sa papers.

Suspect Remy's agent been calling journalists linking his client to Arsenal as a ploy to get a better deal from Chelsea.

I still cannot believe that after all the problems it brought them last year, Manchester United have once again left a lot of their transfer window to the very end of the window.

Yeah it looked like they wanted everything completed early, not intentional, but you have to worry about the competence of those in charge.

Strange deal. No ambition from the lad, he'll win stuff but view it from the bench. If only Joe Kinnear had signed him permanently.

Problem with the whole window system, a lot of clubs waiting to make deals or waiting for a deal to be completed to finance a deal themselves etc.

Arsenal pulled out of the deal so it didn't give the option of going to Arsenal.

Was gonna say that before carrying on reading.
With Arsenal in mind, brings up our net spend to around £8m.
Re: Summer Transfer Window
Radamel Falcao being linked with Manchester United and Manchester City.
Negredo looking to join Valencia on loan.
God knows why United want another attacking player...
Juventus also want Falcao, but can't afford his wages, unless they offload one of their top earners.

Re: Summer Transfer Window
It may well be the case they look to get another striker tbh with Hernandez going to Real and RVP potentially out for a while. Can't see it being of the level of a Falcao though, more so of a up and comer.

Re: Summer Transfer Window
Rodgers has said one more player might be brought in, but it's more likely to be departures.
Expect Lucas to go to Napoli, probably end up being a loan deal like Reina had.
Suso will probably leave unfortunately.
With Agger and Reina already gone, not sure who else will leave.
