Summer Transfer Window
First topic message reminder :
Sunderland are apparently on for will Buckley again this weekend. Another one from Brighton.
Also after Nacer Chadli from spurs and Jonas from Valencia - along with still trying to persuade fabio borini.

Have they lost it? it's remarkable that two players have essentially halved the salaries, and one of them quit Champs league footie to leave Monaco. Is the manager anti Colombian?

we need improving massively, the players we have signed do this.
Think this might confirm that RVP is set for a 6 month spell out through injury
Still can't help but think as well though that we might be the only team who can spend £150m+ on players and fail to strengthen our weakest areas
Almost as if these are more statements as to how big the club is with or without CL football
Guessing that midfield will keep till Jan to see if Strootman proves his fitness. The defence will likely stick as it is with Blind covering roles both in defence and midfield
Looks as if this formation is here to stay, annoyingly hinders the progress of Januzaj who doesn't appear to be in first team plans any time soon

Well, we can pretend to ignore it... but goals was an issue for Utd. Two in four games this season, and they hovered around two a game last season.

Sebastien Coates has joined Sunderland on loan. Hopefully he gets a few games and manages to improve, was very highly rated prior to his move to Liverpool.

Madrid confirm Javier Hernández. Good signing... we needed a back up striker on the cheap, but at this stage it's a but like repainting the walls when the roofs been demolished

20m for a seasons rent with a 55m option next year for a 29 year old with a major knee injury earning 300k a week doesn't sound cheap.compelling and rich wrote:bet arsenal fans are gutted with the falcao deal, someone they really needed available on the cheap

Re: Summer Transfer Window
Can't be surely? Has Falcao really given up £10m+ tax free for what £2.5-3m after taxes, with no CL, and a snowballs chance of winning the league? Sounds almost incomprehensible.

The cost to buy him is also £43.5m rather than the £55m speculated.

No sympathy needed Juan.... life couldn't get better after la décima anyway. Plus my bet on Atlético to win the la liga is beginning to look like a boss move

Am sure the is a rule where Monaco players had to fall in the same tax bracket as the rest of the league, hence James and Falcao where off.

Rumours gathering Moutinho is also coming to Utd with Falcao as De Jong happy to stay at Milan.
Used to be decent though has dropped off of late, Mendes (the agent of Moutinho, Di Maria and Falcao) must love Utd.

Re: Summer Transfer Window
I was actually thinking during the Burnley game that United needed another CF.
RVP peaked a few years back and is currently just a permanent crock while Rooney's overall game is pretty dog sh1t now.
United look a bit of a mishmash though. Will be interesting to see them attempt to bring everything together.

Borini to QPR on loan apparently. Makes sense, a decent replacement for Remy. Shame the £15 million deal to Sunderland didn't go through.

Sandro to QPR as well, Redknapp busy as always. Think Sandro is definitely better than QPR though. Just not sure if Tottenham would sell to teams competing with them as I would have thought he'd have attracted interest from Liverpool/Man United who have both been in the market for defensive midfielders.

you've never been to sunderland, have you? i'd rather live in LDN, probably higher wages & the club looks like it has more ambition than sunderland do. sandro, vargas, caulker, mutch, borini or join sunderland and play with billy jones, jordi gomez & wes brown.

I suppose it depends on where he sees Rojo fitting in and where Blind fits. Injuries should clear up a bit and all of a sudden their squad has a hugely fresher feel and they've got to add Falcao to it too

Sign loads of attacking players. Don't have the players to give them the service. Its like Norwich last season on a larger scale
