Saw my sort of niece for the first time in a while on Friday night. After a bit of tomfoolery she said she was going to stab and kill me with her knife. After the intial embarrassment I was quite disturbed a 3.5 year old would say such a thing..

Did anyone else read the tomfoolery with my "sort of niece" in a different context? I had visions of Sean running off to Utah. Even now I've read her age, we are talking about Sean after all.

Funny enough (well not really) my Fossil watch stopped ticking yesterday. I'm undecided as to whether I should fix it myself, or get it repaired. Little afraid of trying anything as its design is levels above anything I've done, but it would be good practise for when I start my next timepiece. Decisions decisions.

Don't see the point of watches these days. You have the time on your phone.

That is a good option, but my dad bought it for me when I finished high school, so I can't just leave it to rust. It's also a really nice watch, and shouldnt have stopped two years in... Should probably demand a refund.

Get it repaired, you don't want to risk making it worse. Or buy a cheap fossil watch off e-bay and mess around with that one first.

There was uproar up this way during the Tour De France in Keighley because they went to the ad's during the central bit.

Later investigation showed that they had to, as someone had spray painted C*"T on the road... Classy place, DAVE lives there...

Told this a lot on here but at school we used to have those old fashioned blackboards that you'd roll around to get a clean/unused bit. Before every lesson we used to go in, draw a knob and then scroll it back up. Poor old teacher fell for it every time.

The Tricolore textbooks books were always great material for a comedy hapton squirting in to someone's mouth.

I had a school mate who was into drawing detailed gonads - way back 1979 or 1980 I think it was. He was heavily nfluenced by Buster Gonad from Viz magazine and another magazine called Tracks. It would take him most of the period to get the curves right and skillfully draw each individual hair and add the shading. Had me in stitches.

We had AV Longman's French textbooks. Plenty of opportunities to enhance the frames. I remember one of my mates would be working on a piece of art... then put this sort of deadpan expression on his face when he revealed it.

I always got the "... what's so funny boy? Perhaps you'd like to share your joke with the rest of the class.?" from the teacher (who had a sort of comical face which also made me laugh from memory)

My mate would already have the book shut by then. Had a fair bit of trouble trying to wipe the smile off my face a couple of times.
