Louis van Gaal has claimed that his Manchester United side have been defending well despite the debacle at Leicester last weekend.

Wish Kouyate was available for it, if we dominated midfield we'd have Valencia and Sakho running at that weak backline, but now I think we won't have the pace and power to stop them

A nothing story really, whether it was Kroos or LVG, the signing was never going to happen the moment he was appointed.

The story about Kroos deciding against Utd because of LVG is utter balderdash, he was against beforehand because of Moyes rather than for it and the damage had already been done.

Man U will get back into the Champions League this season, Liverpool, Spurs and Everton equally inconsistent. But whether Ferguson, Moyes or Van Gaal were managing Man U, Toni Kroos, like Cristiano Ronaldo and many others before him, chose to move to Real Madrid because it's Real Madrid!

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Financial Fair Play and Real Madrid buying Kroos and James and Bale in the last 12-15 months was a huge reason why Madrid sold out Ozil and Higuain last summer and Di Maria this summer. Not quite as good as the new guy, sold to keep net spend down.

Balotelli selfish. Howard majestic. Atkinson awful. Barry lucky to still be on the pitch.
Liverpool should still win, though.

United XI: De Gea, Rafael, McNair, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Di Maria, Rooney, van Persie, Falcao
If Blackett starts ahead of McNair, one can only wonder how good he is..... West Ham must be favourites today.

Moyes was always right. A lot of people don't realise this, but keeping that Utd in the top ten is the single greatest achievement of his career

Teams simply don't learn - once you go 2-0 up away, the other team immediately gets a power bonus.
