We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
I know it's not premier league related, but I was just reading that both of Scunthorpes goalkeepers suffered broken arms in today's game.

You shouldn't be Nene is quality Be surprised if he gets played since not a "Big Sam" signing but then again neither was Sakho and he's keeping Big sam in a job really....

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
He was quality, yet the most interesting video of his time in Qatar is a brawl he started. I don't really see nowt wrong with the signing and I'm interested to know why Sam is so annoyed, but neither is he exactly what we needed for our desperate unattached signing (striker or a defender) and I don't see that he'll play often. We loaned Zarate out after all

3x Newcastle, Sky know a quality team, when they see one. We're on tomorrow vs City too, shame we will be on the end of a Toure/Bony homecoming party.

Well, hoping we get off to a winning start under Sherwood.
Stoke are a tough nut to crack.
Good to see Kevin McDonald back at the club.
Would like to see Sinclair start, Gil back?
Gabby to, just for his pace, get at Stoke from the off.
Hopefully Benteke can get some confidence in front of goal, be the player we know he can be.
Also want to see Okore starting. Have been impressed with him this season.
Time to turn it round Villa. New manager. Lets get off to a winning start, get a bit of a buzz round the place that has been missing for a long time.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Hate how Van Gaal just talks rubbish. Just because he proved them wrong once because West Ham played more long balls. West Ham are a long ball team, everyone knows that. But if United made a significant amount of long balls in that game as well, then doesn't that make them a long ball team? Look at Stoke under Pulis and West Ham a couple of seasons ago when they were both in the PL. They both played the same long ball system, but lets say in that match between Stoke and West Ham, Stoke played more long balls than West Ham did, that doesn't mean to say West Ham aren't a long ball team anymore does it? That's basically what Van Gaal is saying.
He's even said it today with them being the best team in the last 19/20 matches, which is wrong because both Chelsea and Man City have been better than them in their last 20. Baring in mind we have only played 25 games of the season anyway, if United were the best for 20 of them games, they should be top by now. But because of their lacklustre start to the season, they remain in 3rd. More nonsense statistics by Van Gaal again that mean very little.

Not nonsense at all, you're constantly talking about LVG and not the team, that's what he wants, it's what all the best managers, take all the pressure on them.
It's why he made the goalkeeper sub, not to be clever but had they lost, everyone would be talking about that decision.

Exactly, the goalkeeper sub is just nonsense. There is a time where it will work and other times where it doesn't, you can't be a manager like that.

You're missing the point entirely, it wasn't nonsense at all, it took all the pressure off his team and put it on to him, had they lost then his ability would be questioned not the teams.

This. Amazing how his stock seems to be falling since he's arrived in the promised land of English football.
I like LVG.
And a manager bigging up his team. Oh the shock of it.
