Went ten-pin bowling for the first time ever this afternoon.  Was great fun watching Galtova fall apart once I found my range.  She threatened to make a comeback in the second game we played but I put paid to that with the stern psychological test I put her through.  Reckon it could be a new career for me.

I watched the Villa match Galted, going ten pin bowling with Galtova sounds a lot more fun.

Sympathies, Jeff.  Was 2-0 when I left, saw the final score on the big screen at the bowling place, muttered to myself in a disgruntled manner that would make a Yorkshireman proud.

Has been a superb weekend, beat her on Saturday in a dramatic Scrabble match and have won all the punch-ups against her cat with barely a scratch on my wrists.

Same... but a dusky Jurassic Park like evening (without the dinosaurs) here. It's warm and overcast, an orange sunset through evil looking black and grey clouds. A healthy breeze outside too now. I just hope the rain holds off. The crew is back here tomorrow to start the outside walls.

This is a new contractor. He specialices in sandstone but also a very tidy builder/brickie/blockworker. Had a look at his work. Top notch workmanship. He's prioritised this job after getting through a backlog of work interrupted by bad weather.

Rare beast that. I had to shove a remote controlled grenade up the arris of the man retiling the roof after one or two random disappearances. I've been flipping a coin to choose whether or not I detonate it to see what sean looks like or leave it in and see if his work is as good as can be. Still got 15 years on the guarantee.

Not so posh area. Some suburbs nearby have funny names, unlike in Rome.

There's a Seven Hills near me, although there aren't any hills there unless you include the slight incline of the slip road leading to the roundabout.

It was ok. Got pretty belted on Saturday night at a dinner party with a group of the missus's friends. They are all 45ish so a bit out of my depth. It was salmon bellini's followed by a monkfish and prawn curry. I don't eat fish and hadn't really eaten all day so I felt pretty rough yesterday.

My NY resolution was to eat fish but one of the worst combinations of fish for me is in curry. Mistakenly reheated missus's fish curries in the past and my old chinese colleague used to bring in fish curries which smelt like gangrene.

Did cook a rib of beef yesterday. 3 hours in the oven at 55 degrees then flash fry either side. It was good but borderline raw which is just about ok for me.

Fish Masala is normally pretty good, use a non intrusive white fish.

I ususlly marinade the crap out of my ribs, and eat them rare as well.

I hate it when fish get intrusive. They should mind their own damn business.

Masala Fish with chips is brilliant. Cook wrapped in foil to intensify the flavour and make a nice hot sauce to go with it.
