Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
First topic message reminder :
Now the season is over, the rumours begin!
Milner/Ings to Liverpool seems likely.
Benitez to Real Madrid, Bale staying.
Falcao is desperate to move to Chelsea.
Otamendi and Dani Alves to Manchester United.
Raheem Sterling to Arsenal
What else?

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
After being linked with Lacazette (gone to PSG) and Benzema (don't see it happening) the latest striker to be linked with United is Mario Mandzukic with us apparently 'closing in on a deal'
can't say I'd be too bothered if the latter ended up being just newspaper nonsense

City were practically begging him to stay and it was 'ok' for them to be paying him around that amount.
That was 2009.....
You saying hes a worst player now?
Also they were offering that in the contract renwal.
Yeah Richard Dunne is probably a worse player at age 35 than age 29
Yer he will probably end up Notts Forest

Cool beans fella. Is this where I'm supposed to get overly defensive at my team being mentioned?

Weird how you're going on about Forest. Like a young kid at school picking on a girl to mask the fact that he likes her...something like that anyway.

Missed out a bit there I think Dolph, not disastrous but Ayew on a free is a great deal.

be interesting to see who we go for if it is a done deal, my first choice would be cech. lloris is overrated and also would be expensive

talk of casillas being released, only strengthens us to get a better deal if so. id be surprised if they let him go before his replacement was signed

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
I hope we get a good deal for De Gea and have played hard ball with Madrid. I either want a hefty fee in the region of around 40-50m or 20m with benzema thrown in or benzema at a cut price. That or hopefully he stays with us getting him to sign a contract and like we did with ronaldo, offering him the chance to leave next season instead if that is indeed his wish.
As a replacement, cech would be a decent short term option but rather we went for lloris or leno. Reports tonight also that Gundogen could be on his way after all the back and forth of him agreeing terms with us, then barca, then us etc... B
Bwin (utd's betting partners) tweeted he's on his way to us then deleted it. Make of that what you will but it seems to be gathering speed, and from what i've heard about his performance tonight, it seems he's close to the level he reached pre-injury, in which case it would be a massive signing

I think Cech is younger now than Van Der Sar was when he joined. Thats a good few years of keeper

I would much rather have Cech than Lloris.
It's the usual beginning to a Summer where the whole of Europe is waiting for one big deal to kick start a chain reaction.

If i was Utd i'd be tempted to stick with Valdes if/when De Gea goes to Madrid and use the money to strengthen up front.

I think thats what'll happenen tbh. I think it'll be a big comedown from DeGea but I don't want to see us get peanuts for De Gea and then pay over the odds for Lloris, we'd never hear the end of it
Plus there's far too many holes in our squad we still need a cb, a rb, a dm and a striker (maybe even 2 if RVP and Hernandez go)

I'd rather Liverpool just chuck Danny Ward on the bench, he's young and will gain experience from it. Wouldn't be much worse than Bogdan if needed either.

Yes considering he wouldn't even make Notts Forest 1st team it's pretty hilarious for anyone not a scouser How the mighty have fallen to a Poopie shadow of themselves.
