Dimitri Payet has not signed a contract with West Ham yet. Player this lunchtime was hesitating over the deal, according to La Provence.

If we sign that god awful Keogh, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Starting to get worried now at this lack of progress, I mean at least McClaren has finally got an assistant manager, can we classify that as a signing?

Surprising this deal, but Bayern are close to signing Douglas Costa for £25m. How many midfielders do they need?

Well Ribery & Robben are in their 30's plus Ribery has endless back issues nowadays.

I hope Newcastle sign Richard Keogh.

Jack has said Payet is done so I feel a lot better about it now! Song, Jenks and Remy would be a lovely trio to follow him.

At this time I'd like to see Gus Poyet appointed as West Ham manager, just to mess with headline writers.

Boy does he look happy. Not Aaron Lennon happy, but still delighted to have signed for a big English club.

Linked with Ron Vlaar & definitely appeals to Ashley, now he's out of contract. Definitely take the ageing Dutchman & hopefully the pull of Krul, De Jong, Anita & Janmaat can persuade him to join.

Norwich interested in Gestede - not hugely excited about that for the rumoured fee of £7m.

Pretty surprised FC Bayern signed Douglas Costa, as I was hoping for Julian Draxler. But anyway Costa should add some extra pace in the wide areas.

Di Marzio claiming West Ham are close to signing Aymen Abdennour. Bid 18m Euros and Monaco want 20m.
Song and Jenkinson seem very close too, and other rumours about a choice of option Remy or Austin.

Am pleasantly surprised by West Ham this summer, two excellent signings so far, and possibly a third on the way.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
It's long been the rhetoric of our chairmen to say transfer fees are not an issue for the club, it's the wages due to ffp. Our revenue is pretty good and we get the bonus of being a London club and the big stadium coming.
Knowing us one of the signings will blow up with injury, the other will be cack and we'll be bringing Carlton back in September.

Think there's a lack of good wide players in the game at the moment, having said that with Draxler he's stagnated the last couple of season's and Costa is probably a slightly cheaper option. Not that Bayern are short of money but they don't blow it mindlessly like the other top teams.

Great buy for West Ham but you've got to question this guy's motives, i mean why would he go from Marseille to West Ham except money. He'll never see the Champions League or probably even Europe again plus his place in the national team squad become's more difficult. Would have been better making this move in a couple of years but a smart move by WHU, better than wasting twice the amount on English "talent".

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
I'm assuming that we're selling the club to new players based on our ambitions, the stadium and money that will be spent. Hopefully he'll get Europa group stages with us, plus foreign players are really drawn by living in London. Plus Marseille don't have Champions League football this year and that caused a wage drop, not even mentioning they are a club seemingly in reverse at the moment

Offering ridiculous wages, no doubt. Not surprised he's snubbed us, given the fact Pulis called him a ticking timebomb.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
he's certainly a good player, not a great player though & £25m is what has put arsenal off. interesting to see what united fans think of this deal. rumours already circulating that with schneiderlin off to OT, Koeman will look at a £10m deal to bring Cabaye to st.mary's.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
Southampton will buy Clasie as his replacement, a player I would have preferred to Schneiderlin; don't get me wrong he's a good player but that's all he is and at that price i'd want better. He does however fit the clubs blueprint of buying Premier League, something we veered away from massively last year for not much gain.

Sky reporting that we're interested in Coleman, slightly better defender than Clyne but can imagine he'll cost about double, would be a good signing and big upgrade on Valencia.

That Vidal rumour won't go away. The journalist who initially said before the FA cup final that a deal had been agreed repeated the claim last night. There are reports in Italy that Juve have agreed to sell him, but they didn't say to which club.

As a Utd fan then I'm happy with the Schneiderlin deal if it comes off, read he's made more tackles in the premier league over the past three seasons than any other player so that will add something to our midfield.

clynes had a good year, but colemans been the best right back in the prem along with zabaleta for the last 5 years
id be surprised if juve let vidal go, with pogba being linked away, pirlo ageing and tevez gone. not sure why they would also sell another cm and basically destroy a team that was capable of going to champions league final

If prefer clyne really, cheaper and younger.
Fullback is the gimmie position of modern football, no specialists anymore all converted from more difficult positions to play. None of them can defend.
I'm weirdly happy with the schneiderlein deal, he looks (for all intensive purposes) just a solid premier league player but I have a feeling he will be very successful for us.
Other chat is we are looking at cilessen for big money, no just no.
No more dutch players Louis thanks.

Southampton, Liverpool, WHU don't want him & he won't sit on the bench at Chelsea. I'm not sure what Newcastle are playing at or waiting for.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Thread 15/16
The same reason why those teams don't want him presumably, if he's too expensive for West Ham then he's definitely too expensive for Newcastle.
