I've only heard a snippet. I'm on the fence personally.

Listened to it all on a work collegues spotify, it just does not go anywhere.

Amy Winehouse was meant to be doing one once, went into the studio but was too wrecked to get anything together. She would have been brilliant, she got that whole Shirley Bassey era of music and so would not just have done a second rate pastiche of those themes, which seems to be the trend now.

She would have been great. So too Al Stewart.

I'm just relieved that Ellie 'Horseface' Goulding didn't whine her way through one.

I also have a soft spot for Rebecca Ferguson, Dave.

I went to see her once. Got dragged along by TSMR, got howlingly drunk beforehand and slept through the whole thing. Got to say it vastly improved things.

You missed out, under that scouse accent is the voice of an angel.
