Not sure its bitching when SA have had about 4 of those shoulders to head missed by the officials and at least two neck throws missed. Its simply about time that they got punished for it. I have nothing to gain either way as I am not a supporter of either team so I can see things without fan glasses on.

Laidlaw is far too laborious at the breakdowns and it is costing Scotland dearly.

Ducking in the tackle- Legal
High Tackles- Illegal
Tacking with no use of arms- Illegal
South Africa getting away with murder yet again.

SA deserving their lead at half time. Scotland at the moment don't look like scoring a try, but living off the boot of Laidlaw for their points.

South Africa a playing clever. Playing dirty, but playing clever.
I'd get Sam HC on, move laidlaw to 10 and hook weir.
Need to play with more tempo and stop letting South Africa boss is around the park

Deservedly behind. But Frak me, why have South Africa been given carte blanche to tackle us constantly by the neck.

SA are getting everything their own way including decisions. Breakdown is a disaster with SA players lying on the wrong side. Maybe we should use Billtongs logic and just stamp on them, and then tell them to stop lying there

Re: Scotland v South Africa, 3 October
Regardless of the SA tackling technique, Scotland look underpowered. They seem to move backwards at every tackle and commit way more players in the rucks than their opponents. If that doesnt change I fear the 2nd half will look very long from a Scottish perspective...

Re: Scotland v South Africa, 3 October
Haven't been able to watch this one, but it sounds like a bit of a clusterfeck.
I would have no objection to hooking Weir for Clyne, with Laidlaw to 10.
We need to do what we've done in all matches up until now and have an unrecognisably different second half.

It is men against boys out there. We have to commit large numbers to the ruck or we will lose possession. Our "strike" runners are making little or no ground. Laidlaw is back to his ponderous self.

A totally disgraceful performance from Nigel O'Wens. He simply has not got a clue at scrum time. His TMO let him down fr the first try. He has missed countless cheap shotes at ruck time and wants to be on television all ganme.
This man should not referee the Pro12 Final let alone the world cup final. Absolutely abysmal.

Yes the TMO let him down, not Owens himself. He has missed a bit but he also relies on his linesmen and they are the most guilty for missing the late shots myself. Its not been a great performance from the whole officiating team, not just Owens.

I'm not buying this under powered stuff. It looks to me to me to be a bit of the mental toughness missing. Hopefully they'll come out stronger after a kicking in the dressing room.

Oh rubbish hes one of the very best in the world. Scotland are getting creamed because they picked an under strength team. the Boks will always do the rough stuff it's part of their game. Just be thankful Kobus Wiese isnt playing, Owens would still be trying to find Scottish bodies come the next game against Samoa!

Don't get me wrong, Scotland are losing because S Africa are way better. But this is a terrible performance from O'wens. The clamour for him to referee the final is sickening. I'm so glad he doesn't get to referee Wales.

Don't like Mtawarira clapping in Laidlaw's face as Laidlaw walks off having been yellow carded. Very footballish.
