Daddy long legs are a nightmare for cricket groundsman. Their larvae are called Leatherjackets feed on the roots of the grass and can devastate the square. Season is done but the crows are digging up the bastards on my square at the moment.

Went there a few times before the bombings in 2002.... the last time in 99 and even back then there was a slightly uneasy feeling in some places.
We also went to Lombok which is the next island east. Funny place... quite edgy too.

Don't think I'd ever go back there or to Indonesia for that matter. Much prefer Polynesia (Cook Is superb but maybe too low key for you) and I'd rather go to touristy parts of Vietnam, China or Malaysia than Indonesia, Thailand or the Phillipines. Japan in summer is probably my favourite place for a holiday in Asia.

Yes, but I don't enjoy it. Is just a weird environment, Last place was proper relaxed and easy going, massive culture shock to go from one extreme to the other.

Pretty confident for that one tomorrow, working in a niche industry you tend to have a decent chance of getting jobs when they come up, as folk with experience are pretty few and far between. Also old boss is probably going in as manager so he should have a say in who they take on.
