Can we swap the TJ for the ref as he seems to know what's going on more - twice he's had to step in to give pens.

Good decisions from the ref there for the penalty try. Liked that he didn't use the tmo.

I think Argentina will be very disappointed with their first half hour, not playing smart rugby.

Re: England v Argentina, 26 November
England are losing so many good players ahead of the Aussie game. Billy V now by the looks of it. It's going to a serious test of Engs depth (As is this to be fair.). Very worrying. I think the Aussies will have to be big favourites to get a small amount of revenge.

In that position he needs to be shoving and let the flankers keep their eyes up to make the tackles.

Re: England v Argentina, 26 November
he's totally out of his depth Geordie. ten minutes two men down. the writing is on the wall.
sadly I think that try could be the turning point. we lost a man then had to replace our best player with a poor one.

I really wanted Harrison to do well. But he looks very much out of his depth. Seems a poor bench choice.

I don't know how the ref was so sure about the grounding on their try from his angle. Harrison had an arm under it.

Really? i'd say this ref has gone out of his way not to penalize england. That 5 mins of scrum messing would have been a yellow and a penalty try 8 time out of 10.

Re: England v Argentina, 26 November
And by the way since when has pulling a player back by the arm not been a penalty offence? But for the TJ he would have also let Argentina get away with taking a man out in the air and a chop tackle with no arms ...Heaf wrote:That's because it was ... because I fear Bill V gone and the red card have gifted this to Arg (who look like a poor team in a fair match) and I worry more about this weaker eng side coping with a great Aussie team,

I agree. This will blow all feelings of complacency out of this team either way. The big worry now is just Billy. Our chief OZ tormentors were Haskell, Itoje, Billy and Farrell, and we could be left with only Farrell left for next week
