It is a bad mistake to close a thread....
First topic message reminder :
....Because people disagree about tennis matter. Be careful not to over moderate this forum. As far as I could read, there was no insults, no sexism, racial abuse and that should be the only concern of the mods.
We all come from 606 for its good and its bad, most of us would still be there if it wasn;t for its closure.

Euch! I think I'm gonna puke.....
but I do love a conga
deda da da da dum dum,
deda da da da dum dum,
deda - da - da,
deda - da - da.
There's a garden, what a garden,
Only happy faces bloom there,
And there's never any room there,
For a worry or a gloom there
Oh there's music and there's dancing,
And a lot of sweet romancing
When they play the polka
They all get in the swing
Every time they hear that oom-pa-pa,
Everybody feels so tra-la-la
They want to throw their cares away,
They all go lah-de-ah-de-ay
Then they hear a rumble on the floor, the floor,
It's the big surprise they're waiting for
And all the couples form a ring,
For miles around you'll hear them sing...
Chorus:
Roll out the barrel, we'll have a barrel of fun
Roll out the barrel, we've got the blues on the run
Zing boom tararrel, ring out a song of good cheer
Now's the time to roll the barrel, for the gang's all here
I'm feeling a little light headed already.

Nah, just a bit of cut and pasting Cats, I never could remember the words to that song, always mouthed them silently like that twit John Redwood..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIwBvjoLyZc

Re: It is a bad mistake to close a thread....
Course you can Cats, I'm on it and completely off the topic that has no meaning anymore.
Though why you're asking me ?
Anyone know the real meaning of Half a pound of tuppenny rice...?
Half a pound of tuppenny rice
" pudding i.e. dinner",
half a pound of treacle
" tart i.e. dessert"
Up and down the city road
" back and forwards to work "
in and out of the eagle
" eagle`s nest - rest - in and out of bed"
That`s the way the money goes. Pop ( to the pawnbroker) goes the weasel
" weasel - stoat - coat"
This is the working man`s lament.
In the old parlance " Up City" means to London for work or business.
" Up Town " meant to go shopping and
" up West " to go for entertainment.

Re: It is a bad mistake to close a thread....
As the thread title says it would be a mistake to close this thread
And as this thread is off topic (tennis) anyway then it seems appropriate for it to cover all manner of topics - perhaps this can become the sticky off-topic thread...
That 'spock' incident was a belter wasnt it Jubba, Redwood must cringe everytime he sees it, what a twerp. He would have only marginally looked more stupid doing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmY2j9NSFsc

Just tried that....and the wife thought I was having a fit !
I can quite categorically state that I never took part in an stupid Oops jig, after a girl I was trying to get off with saw me do it and never talked to me again. She was a cracker too.
Ho hum, ya live and learn.

Just been reading through this...and I just want to give all a as well...especially Lydian, who I really did miss in the old place, as he was always the voice of reason, and could be a cheeky as well ....also he lives in the best county in the UK, so he's got to be right!

I used to think that Dancing Queen was the greatest record made, evah. But that blinkin' Mamma Mia film RUINED Abba for me ...
I'm sure YI Man must have been down Whitley Bay ... he must have some stories about the dancing moves from there. <hides>

Nothing could've ruined ABBA more than that tribute act at the 1999 Brit Awards!

Lol Jubba!
I tried that for the first time at a college prom a couple of weeks ago.....with a group of adults with learning disabilities.
They could all do it perfectly well but I kept mucking it up.......it was very humiliating.
Anyway.... I'm loving this thread!
All together now....
