The thread hasn't been deleted.

Threads will be locked from time to time for various reasons, where possible they will be unlocked and left like that as long as the posters stay on topic.

Please can we not question every locked thread, the moderators make their decisions for the best of the forum and don't need to be questioned at every step.

I would agree that this site needs moderation but lets not get to the point where we are stiffling debate. But aren't we all big boys and girls, we can stand a little back and forth. Things like racist or sexist slurs, threats, personal attacks are in my opinion areas where we should have zero tolerance. But just ignore the wums, if you choose to engage them that is fun. I kind of found unbiased educator funny, with his posts on how Thomas Enquvist would have won 20 grandslams in the weak era of Roger Federer.

Unfortunately, the new regime are balancing what is deemed funny against what is deemed to be disrepectful or potentially annoying, and it's the latter consideration that seems to be the final decider as to whether a post/poster gets on this forum.

There are plenty of people, probably a majority, here that approve of this - and that's got to be the main thing.

I totally agree I think that the mods have had a little much to do initially here but legend is used to the tennis forum and knows what wums look like from experience.
