I can actually sympathise with you regarding sleep. Galtova is heavily pregnant and it seems the only way she can get comfortable in bed is if I sleep on the floor. This would only be marginally sh*t if the cat didn't use my head as a step to get onto the bed and my midriff as a landing-pad to get off.

The cat doesn't sleep up there, she just does a bedroom patrol about four f*cking times a night which includes a walk over the bed and back. She still sleeps between my knees which makes it difficult to leave the room quietly as it's hard to do so without being bitten.

Not really no, guy texted me and begged me to give a firm acceptance but the finances just didn't add up - a couple grand more in pay offset by travel costs and travel time, effectively costing me 3 grand despite the higher pay, but remember I work for Securitas which is technically an agency for security staff so they will find me a job elsewhere in seconds - I've already been asked to go to other places but this place is barely 15 minutes from my house. Might just fall back on that if it becomes necessary but was getting encouraging signs last time around so maybe it won't be.

Do you guys get mosquitoes up north? I've been bitten about 7 times and it's seriously fekcing itchy - first I've heard of a mosquito in the UK.

Not that I have ever seen, we get midges aplenty. If Tino was still around, he would be able to confirm.

Also, if supes has seen them in his neck of the woods, but I am not sure if there is enough blood in the alcohol stream up there to sustain a mosquito.

Bizarre how there's billions of midges the further north you go. Siberia must really be hell.

We used to get tonnes of your average house fly... the odd blow fly but numbers seem to be down in the last few years.
Maybe drought and wind direction is the cause. Or floods. Or fire. Or pesticides.

Noticed quite a few dead bees around. Quite sad. Apparently we're all phucked if they become extinct... unless we hire a few million Chinese to come down here and hand pollinate.

The biggest mosquito I ever saw was in Vietnam. I'm sure it was wearing black & white striped socks... looked like a Newcastle (or Collingwood) fan flying by. But it was comparatively silent.

Scared the crap outta me. Definitely carrying malaria I reckon.

Meeting went well, two options offered and going to mull on the merits of both before deciding. The first involves a change of hours for one of my colleagues which she seems amenable to and the second means a change of role for me into a more traditional security role and less administrative work which probably means I still do the administrative work but they don't put it on the record. Could do with the exercise to be honest. How is one and all?
