Summer Transfer Window 2017 Thread
First topic message reminder :
The rage from La Liga is exciting.
That money argument does show you why there's no need to worry about Bale not having suitors. If Everton can throw £48m at Siggy, Liverpool can offer upwards of £70m for Nany Keita then I can't see Man United being scared of throwing £90m at Bale.

As an idea i see why but i don't agree with it. Atleast with it now if get a serious injury you got time to replacement them a few weeks into season.

Only really helps the teams that want it if the rest of Europe etc do it.

Actually helps them more to be honest.
Either you don't want to sell and can't find a replacement or you do and demand a bigger premium.

Reports Spurs have agreed terms with Aurier, makes sense for them to go in for him having lost Walker. Also that Fulham have turned down a 25m bid from Spurs for Sessegnon.

Been waiting for Spurs to make a move for Sessegnon, it's the one big(ish) club where a young player can continue to progress.

The reports have come out of France and other outlets there are reporting he's agreed deals with Juve and Inter Milan
Did his legal issues get sorted that initially prevented him travelling to the UK?

Rose out and Sessegnon in makes a lot of sense. Davies is a good starter, but ideal for Sessegnon to get experience behind

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017 Thread
So Everton's first choice line up will presumably be:
Pickford
Coleman - Jagielka/Williams - Keane - Baines
Gueye - Schneiderlin
Rooney - Sigurdsson - Klaassen
Sandro
That looks an incredibly slow side. I can only assume Rooney will then be a bench option and maybe Bolasie and Mirallas will play for width?
Sigurdsson is a good player, I'm just not sure that after signing Rooney and Klaassen and already having Tom Davies and Ross Barkley (as it doesn't look like he'll be sold) it makes much sense.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017 Thread
Definitely seems like too many players who want to play in the same area in the middle of the field
I'd rotate Rooney and Sandro depending on form, think Bolasie is needed as a minimum
Klaasen could be used in place of Schneiderlin if they want to play a bit more expansively too rather than having two primarily defensive midfielders

matudi for 18 mil is a great signing, wanted him at united for a few years at least.
evreton team does seem very slow, and a struggle to see where the goals are coming from. at best rooney will be a 15 goals this season, and thats with him playing all games and having a great season. they will also need klassen and sig to chip in but could see them struggling without a proper centre forward

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017 Thread
If he didn't have such a poor attitude, Liverpool should be looking at him, either as a Coutinho replacement or just to improve the squad depth. One of the few, quality players in Europe who can play both central midfield and left wing, amongst other positions. But he's already forced his way out of two clubs so I'd rather Liverpool stayed away.
Also a lot of better quality journalists have said the story is rubbish and that PSG have not played Draxler because he came back late from the Confed Cup so hasn't had a great pre-season and poor quality journalists are jumping to conclusions.
That PSG squad is so unbalanced, especially since they sold Matuidi and they are still trying to bring in Sanchez and potentially Mbappe.
They've also still got Ben Arfa, Lucas Moura, Pastore, and Guedes who is also highly rated for the attacking positions. Crazy strategy.

Trap
Thiago Silva - Marquinhos
Rabiot - Veratti
Di Maria
Draxler - Cavani - Mbappe - Sanchez - Neymar
Is that their plan?

I was gonna say anyway it was a random announcements given
A) we've never been linked with him
And
B) my understanding is Monaco have already turned down bids of a higher amount. Or at least reportedly

That Spurs are willing to spend £42m on Sanchez. Odd to me as centre back seems the area they are most stocked in, well at least well enough stocked in that £42m seems an odd amount to spend.

Apparently liverpool turned down £118m for Coutinho
If I'm Barca im walking away from this deal. He's vastly over priced at near £120m. Not even worth continuing a pursuit
