First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of pub regulars. We've got the big group pic from the HEC final in Cardiff, plus insets of ll those who couldn't make it

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Come on Kiwis. Anyone else seen Nigel Owens twitter. He basically said he wouldnt comment and some of replies have been apalling like how could you comment youp.rick you showed yourself to be a biased racist. Rowland the Frenchie is a cheating lunt etc. I think in last 2 seasons the respect for ref think has been evaporating

I don't use Twitter Staggy, and I really don't blame some well known people for not using it. I know the All Blacks players have been avoiding any social media for the duration of this tournament, and I can't say I blame them. Perhaps others should as well. It's a shame that a minority abuse such things and spoil it for other fans by posting abuse like that. It's appalling.

Rob Brydon summed up Twitter well. He said that most people are like your good friends on there, and you like to share important, sometimes very personal moments with them; but the abuse you get for doing so is shocking.

Dreamer - having just read back....I hope you enjoyed yourself despite the result (and the amount you drank! Shocked ). I don't listen to radio 1 so if you find your interview on iPlayer or something, let us know. I had a really good time in the stadium. I thought it was great that everyone in seats stood up for the anthems anyway. Worked really well with the singers on stage too. I bought a programme, I don't know if you did - they were matchday programmes from the actual game in NZ, so it's a nice little momento.

Morning all.

I'm with Lol on the 'offside' law as just witnessed with AAC there. It's a subject we have discussed after games at Wasps. There needs to be a full penalty awarded where a player clearly seeks to profit from being in an offside position. Where the offside is clearly accidental, and the player immediately leaves the ball alone (like just then), treat it like a knock on and award a scrum.

A law change would be welcome

nah i didn't buy a programme, a friend of mine did though, nice that they were the official ones.

I feel really sick and a bit miserable. Think I might watch the match again and have a cry just to get it out of my system (I know that sounds a bit sad!)

It was really surreal in the MS, being stood right where the pitch usually is. Am so glad I ended up going though, twas a special day, even if the result didn't go our way.

Tis just so horrible that we've lost two matches by 1 point, when were both so winnable if we'd just gotten our kicks! Sad

I agree Dreamer I was just thinking the same thing, the medics have been really busy here.

ABs are looking comfortable here. I hope they can get the 'Cup' next weekend. I haven't been that impressed with the French so far but you can never tell with them so anything could happen.

Hound,

Yeah it was a stinker of a day at Rodney yesterday. At least Chavhanga opened his account though.

I watched the Cleverly fight last night. Very good actually. Was a little bit drunk as some of you might have guessed from my post in the Dewdrop.

I guess Lydiate plays 7 next week?

Score wise it has been pretty dull. Game over now you'd have to say. At the risk of incurring the wrath of a few on here I would love to see SBW get absolutely minced.

Would have much preferred them to have put S4C on in the stadium, but ah well.
